After placing the bombs throughout the school, they went to their cars to wait for the explosions. Neither Eric or Dylan were knowledgeable when it came to wiring explosives so they did not detonate. There was a shootout that went viral recently in Maryland and the information about it is now available for us to discuss. The young lad who was killed during the shootout is identified as Jason Hendrix who is 16 years old and was from Corbin, Kentucky. The Baltimore County Police officers, Maryland have been on a hunt to find this young lad who is a suspect of his parent’s and his 12 years old sisters’ death. Right from there his hunt was on for the cops of Maryland.

It’s difficult to believe that two high school students could enter their school and begin firing on classmates, but that’s exactly what happened at Columbine. The country was riveted by the news that something so evil could happen by two of their own. Columbine High School, located in Littleton, Colorado, had an enrollment of 1,136 in April 1999. Eric Harris (seventeen) and Dylan Klebold (eighteen) entered Columbine High School on April 19, 1999, at approximately 11:19 AM and began shooting. Due to Klebold and Harris being bullied, the two boys planned an attack to shoot students and staff.

On a Tuesday in 1999, two armed teenagers, Dylan Klebold and Eric Harris, entered their high-school and began shooting classmates. They shot and killed 13 and injured 21 before taking their own lives. The Columbine High School massacre made history. They acquired their guns by purchasing them from acquaintances.

On April 20th 1999, Dylan Klebold and Eric Harris committed a planned mass murder at their high school killing 13 people and injuring 20 in just an hour (XxSlenderMotorX, 2012). They planted bombs throughout the school, but they did not detonate. Sadly, they also took guns to kill people, so even when the bombs did not go off they were able to go through with their act. There original goal was to kill plenty more people than they did. They wrote journals and claimed to want to be like the LA Riots, the Oklahoma Bombing, Vietnam, etc (XxSlenderMotorX, 2012).. They named there desired massacre after a movie called Named Born Killer or NBK, they felt like they related to these boys in the movie and felt superior to their other students (XxSlenderMotorX, 2012). Sadly, a lot of their problem stemmed from kids not letting the boys participate in social events. These boys felt shut out and unwanted, but also felt better than anyone else. In the end, Dylan and Eric also ended up killing themselves. So, who were these boys and what potentially caused them to attack their school?

The shooters names were Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold. There are many different theories on why they did it. They were bullied, they were different, and some say they did it so they would just be remembered. “Klebold was hurting inside while Harris wanted to hurt people” says Dave Cullen who did an investigation trying to understand why two high schoolers could do such a thing. Dylan and Eric were a part of a trench coat mafia. They both had loving families, and were raised good. They wanted the shooting to be the “most deaths in United States history” and it would’ve been if their plan would have worked. They planted bombs in the cafeteria but they didn’t go off, they had a backup plan though. When they realized the bombs didn’t go off they grabbed their guns and headed into the school. If their bombs would’ve gone off it would’ve killed around six hundred people.
