What Color is Blood?

Answer – The most common shade of human blood is a dark shade of red.

Explanation:

The red color of blood is due to the iron present in hemoglobin molecules in red blood cells. Blood can have different shades of red, depending on its oxygenation level, percentage of RBCs, and freshness. It might vary from a crimson to a dark brick red. Freshly oxygenated blood, which is present in arteries, is bright red, whereas deoxygenated blood—found in veins—is darker.
