What is Precision Error?

Answer – A precision error is the same as a random error. It occurs regularly and is the result of an unrecognizable pattern.

Explanation: 

Measurement errors often occur when experiments are conducted as part of scientific research. They are identified by finding the difference between the observed and true values of a quantity being measured. Based on the reason for the error, these are further grouped into two categories.

1. Random Errors: As the name suggests, random errors are the result of unknown or unpredictable factors. They are also sometimes known as precision errors as they impact precision, which is how similar repeated measurements can be under the same conditions. One example would be trying to weigh the same object on the same scale multiple times and obtaining readings that differ due to an unexplainable reason.

2. Systematic errors: These usually occur as a result of faults with the instrument being used or because the experimenter fails to handle the instrument correctly. For instance, a weighing scale that is improperly calibrated can lead to errors in measurements.
