-The structure of alveolar sac can be compared with the structure of bunch of grapes.

-The alveolis are present in close contact to each other as the grapes in the bunch of grapes.

-Each alveoli is of cup shaped and is surrounded with the capillaries.

-In an average adult the number of alveoli is 480 million.
