A conical pendulum consists of a ball (m=3 kg) fixed to the end of a massless cord (l=5 m).  The ball of the conical pendulum is traveling in uniform circular motion at v=3 m/s. a) What is the acceleration of the ball?  What is the net force? b) What is the angle that the string is making with respect to the vertical line? The problem is that the radius r isn't given.  My best guess is that b) should be solved before a).  Hope this helps. :)
