5% Vinegar solution means 100 gram of vinegar solution contains 5 gram of vinegar (Acetic acid) (or 100 mL of solution contains 5 mL vinegar or Acetic acid).

 

The reaction between backing soda(NaHCO3) and vinegar(CH3COOH) take place as -

NaHCO3 + CH3COOH ---> CH3COONa + H2O + CO2

 

Here ,both has same number of moles.  Due to it 5g vinegar has moles -

Moles = 5/60 = 0.083 moles of vinegar.

It means, 0.083 moles of vinegar neutralise 0.083 moles of backing soda and vice versa.
