Obstructive sleeping apnea
This is a common breathing disorder which people experience during sleep. Breathing repeatedly starts and stops during sleep. Cause of sleep apnea is the relaxation of throat muscle which blocks the airway during sleep. Snoring indicates sleep apnea. Obstructive sleep apnea is the most common type of sleep apnea . There are various treatments for this, in some cases a device is used which keeps the airway open while sleeping and there can be need of surgery in some cases.
