Figure 28-45 shows a rec- tangular 20-turn coil of wire, of di- mensions 10 cm by 5.0 cm. It carries a current of 0.10 A and is hinged along one long side. It is mounted in the xy plane, at angle 0 = 30° to the direction of a uniform magnetic field of magnitude 0.50 T. In unit-vector notation, what is the torque acting on the coil about the hinge line? Question

Hello,

I can calculate the correct value for the problem. However,  I do not understand why the torque is at -y direction. I tried using the right-hand rule but still no avail. Maybe I was applying this rule incorrectly. Could you please help me explain explicitly on how to determine the direction of the torque on this problem via the right-hand rule?
