Find all vertical asymptotes, x=a, of the following function. For each value of a, evaluate lim of f(x) as x goes to a from the left, lim of f(x) as x goes to a from the right, and lim of f(x) as x goes to a. f(x)= (x^3-11x^2+24x)/x^2-8x

Question

Find all vertical asymptotes, x=a, of the following function. For each value of a, evaluate lim of f(x) as x goes to a from the left, lim of f(x) as x goes to a from the right, and lim of f(x) as x goes to a.

f(x)= (x^3-11x^2+24x)/x^2-8x

How is there not a V.A. at x=8? Apparently f(8)=-64 but when I plug in f(8) into f(x) I get 0 in the denominator.
