Question
The electromagnetic spectrum contains more than just the visible light you see. 1. Explain where infrared and ultraviolet light fall on the spectrum, according to their frequencies. 2. Name one other form of energy that is in the electromagnetic spectrum.
Expert Solution
Step 1

The electromagnetic spectrum is the type of spectrum that is observed due to the radiation coming from the sun and there is variable radiation inside the electromagnetic spectrum such as visible light, gamma rays, microwave, radio waves, ultraviolet, x rays, and infrared radiation. Depending upon the range of wavelength these radiations are different from each other. The highest wavelength radiation is radio waves and the lowest wavelength is gamma rays and gamma rays are having the highest penetrating power. Thus, the spectrum that is observed due to the sun is the electromagnetic spectrum.
