Question

How do changes in cardiac output and systemic vascular resistance affect blood pressure?

Expert Solution
Step 1

Cardiac output is that the volume of blood be due the guts through the ventricles, and is typically measured in litres per minute (L/min). flow are often calculated by the stroke volume multiplied by the heart rate.
Any factor that causes flow to increase , by elevating pulse or stroke volume or both, will elevate vital sign and promote blood flow. These factors include sympathetic stimulation, the catecholamines epinephrine and norepinephrine, thyroid hormones, and increased factor IV levels. Any factor that decreases flow , by decreasing pulse or stroke volume or both, will decrease blood pressure and blood flow. it causes parasympathetic secretion ,  decreased potassium ion levels, decreased calcium levels, anoxia, and acidosis.
