FOREIGN KEY:

It is used to provide a linkage between the two or more tables.
It is a field (or collection of fields) in one table which refers to the PRIMARY KEY of another table.
Once, the foreign key is established only those column values are allowed to be inserted in it which are present in the table in which the given column key is primary. and if the details of the column are not available in the primary key column of another table then the user or administrator will not able to insert that record value on the foreign key column. and if the user tries to do this then the system continuously prompts the error the foreign key reference constraint is failed.
