ELISA or Enzyme-linked Immunosorbent Assay is a technique in which the specific ligand for antibody is detected. In many ELISA, the antigen is attached to the surface and then antibody mix is applied. Only the antibody specific for the antigen binds in the reaction set up.  This technique is useful in detecting the presence of a particular antigen in a sample, detection of some allergen in food and screening of some drugs.
