Systematic circulation can be described as the process during which the blood is transported between the heart and the other tissues and organs of the body. In systematic circulation, the oxygenated blood is pumped by the left ventricle into the aorta, from where it is transported into the other body parts. In contrast, the deoxygenated blood is transported back to the right atrium.
Pulmonary circulation: In this type of circulation, the blood movement occurs between the heart and the lungs. The deoxygenated blood is transported to the right ventricle, carried into the pulmonary circulation by the pulmonary arteries. After the exchange of gases occurs in the lungs, the oxygenated blood is returned to the left atrium, from which blood is shooted into the left ventricle, repeating the process.
