If I had to compare bus vs mesh topology, again if the central/main cable gets damaged in the case of bus network then the entire network would be down as the main cable connects all the other nodes on the network, it can be considered as the medium of transmission but the mesh network has an upper hand to it as even if one or more nodes get corrupted, it won't bring the entire network down as every node in mesh has a separate connection to every other node present in the network.
