Question

    Describe/outline, 'in your own words', the steps (general procedure) to follow when solving a system of 3 linear equations using:

(a). Inverse (Matrix) Method.
(b). Cramer's Rule

No. 2

Given the following information:

The sum of three numbers is 68. The sum of the first number and second number is two more than the third number. The first number is a quarter of the second.

If x, y and z be the first, second and third number respectively:

(i). Formulate a system of three linear equations in x, y and z.

(ii). Write the system in (i) above, in the form Ax = b, where;
       A is a 3 x 3 matrix of coefficients; x is a 3 x 1 vector of variables;
      and b is a 3 x 1 vector of constant terms.
