A proton moving at v0 = 1.50 x 106 m/s enters the region between two parallel plates with charge densities of magnitude σ = 4.20 x 10-9 C/m2 (Fig. P15.59). Calculate (a) the magnitude of the electric field between the plates, and (b) the magnitude of the electric force acting on the proton. (c) find the y-displacement of the proton when it reaches the far edge of the plates, a horizontal distance d = 2.00 x 10-2 m from where it entered. Assume that the proton does not hit either of the plates, and that upward is the positive y-direction.
