Brine shrimps are aquatic crustaceans and also known as Artemia. They have the ability to produce dormant eggs, which are called cysts. The genus Artemia comprises 7-9 species. Brine shrimp is a typical primitive arthropod that has a segmented body and broad leaf-like appendages. They are usually 8-10 millimetres in length. Their body contains total 19 segments, in which first 11 segments have pairs of appendages, the 12th and 13th segments carry reproductive organs, and the rest of the segments form the tail.
