Hence in order to find the infusion time we have to use following formula

Infusion time = Total volume ( ml ) divided by IV flow rate ( ml/hr)

    275 ml / 50 ml/hr

    = 5.5 hr

Hence 275 ml infusion with the flow rate of 50 ml/hr will last for 5 hour and 30 min.
