How is my essay intro?

What is religion? People around the world say that they are religious. They speak it into existence like they have known who they are for a long time. It is like people are already born into their religion without questioning if they even are religious or before they can even grasp the concept of what religion is. (Holt) gave insight through understanding, Oxford Dictionary, that religion is a powerful word because it comes from Latin, meaning "to bind, to be the root of"(p.126), making people feel their faith even more vital. People who genuinely are religious may feel guided in some form, understanding, and why ask questions like identifying themselves through their religion. People feel they must know the answers to everything. Still, most of the time, people do not question why they are religious. For example, if they were born into a religious family, curious about a new element, gives people purpose, scared of consequences if not religious, feeling like a family, and even people believe it will help their health.
