in right angle triangle there are three sides perpendicular, base and hypotenuse

these are denoted by:

perpendicular=pbase=bhypotenuse=h

Relation between these are established by Pythagoras,

h2=p2+b2

Note: hypotenuse is always in front of right angle(the longest side)
