The advent of writing was a game changer.  Information became much easier to transmit from person to person, and history was able to be documented in a way that it never had been before. Had writing never been invented, it is likely that our world would be very different today.             I feel that the information technology revolution is a double-edged sword. On one hand, due to the advent of computers and smart phones, we now have access to a ton of information.  All you have to do is search for a topic, and you’ll see countless articles come up in seconds. We often take for granted how easy it is to search for information.             However, I feel there is a very negative downside to this spread of technology. As easy as it is to spread information via the internet, it is very easy to also spread misinformation. Anyone can post anything they want online, so people need to be very careful and discerning with what information they gather.             Another downside to the information technology revolution is social media. I know that it is very popular, and it can be fun to share pictures, stories, etc. However, social media also can be addictive and even cause depression reply please
