Use Australian Legislation to answer this please, thank you.  Manny wanted to change the light fixtures in his house. He went to a store owned and operated by Awesome Lights Pty Ltd (“AL”). Manny told the store assistant that he was looking for some light fixtures for his kitchen. He said he had six lights that needed replacing. The assistant showed him a fixture that was on display that he thought would be perfect. It was orange with a flower pattern and made from Italian glass. Manny agreed that the light was perfect and asked for six of them. The assistant gave him six boxes containing the lights. When Manny opened the boxes, he was upset to find that they were not made of glass, like the display model, but were made of purple plastic. Furthermore, the plastic was so thin that that it would melt if it was used with a regular lamp. Has AL breached any of the guarantees in the ACL? Which ones? What consequences could AL potentially face? and what if there was a big sign in the store which said “Buyers take all products ‘AS IS, WHERE IS’ no guarantees apply.”
