The term thermal is related to heat and pollution means contamination of environment. Number of industries takes water from the water bodies for cooling purpose, and after cooling the equipment, temperature of the water rises; this causes sudden temperature increase of natural water bodies too, which causes hostile effects. Water drawn from lake or pond near industries is used as coolant to cool down the heated machines of any factory or power plant. After that, this used water with much high temperature is poured back to the natural resources including lakes, ponds, seas, etc. Conclusion: Thermal pollution is the expelled heat from industries, heat engine that is undesirable.
