What are the environ mental consequences of ozone in the troposphere? In the stratosphere?

Interpretation Introduction

Interpretation: The environmental consequences of ozone in the stratosphere and troposphere are to be given.

Concept introduction:

Layers of atmosphere:

  • Troposphere
  • Stratosphere
  • Mesosphere
  • Thermosphere

Troposphere is atmosphere’s lowest part and it contain majority of water vapor and about 75% of all the air. Tropopause is the name for the top of troposphere.

Stratosphere is the atmospheric layer extending from tropopause to about 50km This part contain much ozone in the atmosphere. The ozone in this region absorbs u-v radiation and protects us from harmful health issues by u-v radiation.

Explanation

The atmosphere contains different layers which are classified according to the temperature and various other conditions of that region.

Layers of atmosphere:

  • Troposphere
  • Stratosphere
  • Mesosphere
  • Thermosphere

Ozone plays two different roles in the atmospheric layers mainly in troposphere and in stratosphere. Ozone is very important to human life, but it can be a major threat too.

Troposphere is the lowest layer of atmosphere. In this region ozone molecules act as toxic ones and also act as pollutants. This will affect the life of human beings leading to severe health problems like respiratory issues...
