    Explanation

    Whenever there is a difference in temperature between two substances, heat is transferred from the substance at a higher temperature to the substance at a lower temperature. This transfer of heat takes place by three modes which are discussed below.

    Conduction:

    It is the transfer of heat from a substance at a higher temperature to a substance at a lower temperature when the bodies are at direct or physical contact.

    Where, Q refers to the heat flow, K is the thermal conductivity of the substance or body, A is the surface area of heat flow, dt refers to the change in temperature or temperature difference, dx refers to the thickness of the substance in the heat flow direction.

    It is the transfer of heat from one body to another by the movement of the molecules
