personally love looking at museums and learning about past history. Looking at this website regarding the Jim Crow Museum, I feel that this museum provides a plethora of items and exhibits to provide the onlooker with accurate information about what occurred to blacks throughout history. This was a horrible time in history when blacks were not seen as equals and were not given many rights, if any. With that being said, I feel that some of the exhibits and items in this museum might provide “mixed feelings”

went to the Waterloo Regional Museum located in the city of Kitchener, Ontario. The museum scrutinizes the First Nations people, European settlement at the start of the 1800, the manufacturing peak of the 1900`s and the high sector boom of recent years. Many of the historical artifacts and paintings reminded me of some of the themes discussed in the Discovering the Humanities course. The museum displayed the work here at Bletchley Park with much pride and admiration. They believe that the work done here by these men and women were crucial to the war effort. Because of the nature of the work, these stories were often untold until many years after the war. In such, this museum tries to exemplify the patriotism, struggle, and contribution the workers at Bletchley Park experienced during the Second World War. One point myself and several others in my group were curious about, included

The Mint Museum at Randolph is located in Charlotte’s Eastover neighborhood. It was once part of the United States Treasury Department: a mint. In 1936 it became the state’s first art museum. It houses a collection of cozy galleries to display everything from textiles, pottery, ceramics, glass and decorative arts. The exhibit I viewed showcased works from three generations of artists: Newell Convers Wyeth (patriarch), Andrew Wyeth (son) and Jamie Wyeth (grandson). ‘Harbor Monhegan’ was created in

“Katie, would you like to go to a museum?” Dad asked. Everyone who knew him would know that he loves museums. And I’m fine with them as long as it’s not like the common history museums. He raised his hand and pointed. When I followed his finger, I saw a building, resting on the side of a mountain. “What could be in there?” I asked myself.
