The class attended for my Participant Observation Assignment was a forty-five minute yoga class at the Rowan University Recreation Center. During the class, the instructor demonstrated beginner yoga moves for participants to follow. Many people look back to their childhood and remember their blissful naïvete. They look reminiscently at children in the same regard. While reading The Glass Castle, the Walls children represent this juvenile ignorance. Because these kids grow up accustomed to only the life their parents gave them, they didn’t know what their lives were like from an outsider- from reality. To these “real” people, their lives are dangerous and irresponsible, but to them, their lives are care-free and adventurous.

Many of these myths regarding sexual behavior include sexual relations with some sort of animal. An example of this is the story of Leda and the Swan. Myths and Legends of Ancient Greece and Rome, a book by E.M. Berens, explains that Zeus came down in the form of a swan to consort with Leda (Berens 34). I had heard about Panther Creek Falls from my friends for weeks. Panther Creek Falls is a trail located in fannin county.
