A Chinese proverb says “Give a man a fish, and he’ll eat for a day. Teach him how to fish and he’ll eat forever.” Which could mean by giving a man a fish he will eat that day. By teaching him how to fish he now has a way of feeding himself for the rest of his life.

Augustus happiest moment is meeting Hazel and knowing this she thinks about her life. Before Augustus dies Hazel realizes that the happiest moment in his life is meeting her and being able to spend his last moments with her, and now that Augustus is gone Hazel has a new appreciation for life.(Green) The only man she ever loved is gone and she now has a new appreciation for life and is going to make the most of it.Making someone’s last moments the best time of their life helps them live life to the fullest so that they experienced life in a very unique and positive
Augustus makes an impact on Hazel’s life. Augustus and Hazel meet at Support Group and grow a close bond. Augustus and Hazel fall deeply in love throughout the story. When Augustus’ cancer sprung up again, he asked Hazel to write him an eulogy. In Hazel’s eulogy she says, “My name is Hazel. Augustus Waters was the great star-crossed love of my life. Ours was an epic love story, and I won’t be able to get more than a sentence into it without disappearing into a puddle of tears”(Green 259). This shows that when Augustus dies he will leave a (mental) scar on Hazel, because Hazel will deeply miss Augustus when he dies. Augustus transformed Hazel
He shapes this story around the form of a teenage girl named Hazel Lancaster, who believes that her terminal lung cancer is simply a ‘side effect of dying’. Hazel has undergone various treatments since she was a child, but she knows that death could be at the next traffic lights. She stumbles upon Augustus Waters one day, who introduces her into a world of initial frustration, which consequently develops into mutual understanding. The two spend many days and experiences together, bonding over quick witted remarks and their common circumstances, eventually blossoming into young love.
Hazel grace is a dynamic character because she changes throughout the story. In the beginning, Hazel doesn’t want to get close to Augustus, because she was afraid he is going to be shattered when she dies. But towards the ending, hazel finds out it doesn’t matter if you die in the middle of a relationship, it’s about the moments you spend together. A quote in the book, on page 214, “Only now that I loved a grenade did I understand the foolishness of trying to save others from my own impending fragmentation: I couldn’t unlove Augustus Waters. And I didn’t want to.”
Last but certainly not least the plot of the story! Hazel Lancaster is depressed but she doesn’t think she is. And she needs a little excitement in her life and she gets it and its name is “Augustus Waters.” He is literally the best thing that has happened to her. It’s kind of like when she went to the support group and sat in the “literal Heart of Jesus” he was answering her parent’s prayers. Because remember Hazel thinks she just fine. But we all know she isn’t. So it all worked out until something bad happened and then her whole life went downhill.
“You know… its kids’ stuff, but I always thought my obituary would be in all the newspapers, that I’d have a story worth telling. I always had this secret suspicion that I was special” (Green, 240). When Augustus and Hazel meet at his house after support group he shows her his medals and tells her the story of how he used to be a basketball player till the day he got diagnosed with osteosarcoma cancer, a type of bone cancer that spreads from one limb in the skeleton to another, which is why he has an artificial leg. Augustus also tells her about his family and sisters then asks her
On the other hand, Hazel Grace is an independent character who struggles with cancer, trying her best to isolate herself from others in fear that the disease will kill her and she will leave her loved ones behind. Her opinion on having close, loving relationships changes once she falls in love with Augustus. Hazel becomes a

Black Sabbath the English rock band from a small called Birmingham, Was one of the most influential heavy metal bands of its time. Black Sabbath was formed in 1968 going by a few different names until finally concluding on the Black Sabbath after Bob Karloff’s horror movie of the same name. The band consisted of many members but the original four consisted of Ozzy Osbourne (Vocals), Geezer Butler (Bassist), Tony Iommi (Guitarist), and Bill Ward (Keyboardist).
Ozzy looked up to the Beatles and after he got out of jail he decided that he should pursue his dream for entertaining people (Aberback, 2011). When Osbourne was younger he worked at a slaughterhouse and his career helped his image for a rock-and-roll wild man. Ozzy was in a band called Earth with Tony Iommi and they named it Black Sabbath after seeing a movie poster (Aberback, 2011). They started the band when Ozzy was in high school. Black Sabbath fell into many different categories in the rock industry such as Thordendal's fusion, angular math rock, and brutal death metal. (Mudrian, 2009) Black Sabbath was defined heavy metal on their thirtieth anniversary, but before that they were defined as modern folklore (Christe,
Because Ozzy Osbourne became one the most popular rock musicians of the 1980’s, this fame most likely helped the spread to the heavy metal genre. Before Ozzy went out on his own, he was part of the band Black Sabbath. “An album that Black Sabbath released in 1970 by the name “Paranoid … caught the attention of American record executives and catapulted Osbourne and his bandmates to world-class status” (“Ozzy Osbourne” 1). Ozzy got his start in heavy metal as part of a band; this band helped him in his career and on his road to fame. In 1979 “Osbourne struck out on his own. As a solo performer, Osbourne helped to hasten the development of the heavy metal genre” (“Ozzy Osbourne” 1). By going out on his own Ozzy helped out the heavy metal music genre develop even more. During the 1980’s Osbourne was busy “developing a personal mythology that placed him on the gothic fringe of heavy metal” (“Ozzy Osbourne” 2). Ozzy used his fame to help expand the field of heavy metal music to go beyond gothic
"Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish,
"Give a man a fish, he will eat for a day. Teach a man to fish, he will eat for lifetime." And that is exactly what I am going to talk about in this post.
“Give a man a fish; you have fed him for a day. Teach a man to fish; and you have fed him for a lifetime,”
Interestingly, Augustus got in contact with a charity that gives cancer kids a wish. Augustus decided to use his for the two of them to go on a trip to Amsterdam to meet Peter and Lidewij. In the midst of this, Hazel painfully experiences her lungs filling up with fluid causing her to be rushed to the hospital. She lives, however her personal doctors say she isn’t healthy enough to go to Amsterdam. During one of her cancer meetings, one of her doctors, Dr. Maria, says that Hazel should live her life, convincing
Their relationship drives the plot forward because the story is about how they fall into love and support each other through hardships; it drives them to go see Mr Peter Van Houten together and to care for each other even as Augustus is dying. The story also explores the theme of dying as their relationship struggles to keep afloat with Gus suffering from terminal cancer, and Hazel has to deal with grief as she copes with her partner’s death. Most importantly, their relationship highlights the theme of love. Hazel and Gus are devoted to each other up till the very end of the story, as seen from… Their relationship illustrates the enduring and touching power of love.
