When you live your life based on sentiments, trying not to hurt everyone’s feelings or doing things just because it feels good to do it, you’ll get nowhere twice as fast. Do not live by tradition either. If you do the same things the same way you have always done them, you will continue to get the same results. Do not live by tradition, it is an enemy of progress. Live by purpose.
Ask yourself, “How can I do it better this year than I did last year?” Success brooks no argument. It announces itself. Every morning before you set about the day’s work, ask God for directions. He is a God of plan and productivity. He set to work for 6days and the whole of the universe came into existence. Our Lord ministered for three and a half years and the

God lives per day. He doesn’t count by years, months or weeks but days.
The psalmist said concerning God: “So teach us to number our days that we might apply our hearts to wisdom.” Ps 90:12
Take charge of the day and the weeks, months and years would take care of themselves. It is a vexation of the spirit to come to church five to seven times a week, pray like crazy with nothing to show for it by way of results. Live productively. Everything it takes for any man to excel in any field is embedded in the bible. You can’t have such a fountain of wisdom and live like a fool.
We tend to view each day as beginning in the morning and ending at night, but God takes a different position. Six times in the first chapter of the book of Genesis (Gen 1:5, 8, 13, 19, 23 & 31) the scriptures end with: “And the evening, and the morning, the … day”. There is so much to be said for this. “Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children”. Eph 5:1.
Every new day was birthed the previous night. Here’s a tip: Before you go to bed each night, review the activity of the day and put on paper the five most important things you would like to achieve the next day. The next day don’t deviate from these goals, but pursue those five things. It does not matter if all were not eventually accomplished, but the next day put high on your list the unfinished tasks and go ahead to achieve them. If you do this doggedly brethren, very soon this generation will celebrate you.
By all means pray
In Genesis God created the earth in six days and declared rest for the seventh day. On day one, God created light to part it from darkness, calling the light “day” and the darkness “night”. On day two, he created the sky, allowing him to create land and sea on day three. God created the sun, moon, and the stars to give light to the earth and to govern and separate the day and the night" on the fourth diurnal (Fairchild, 2013). These elements would also serve to establish days, season, and years. On the fifth day God created all the organisms on the land, sea, and sky and made sure they would flourish.
It's a fundamental belief of mine that each one of us is brought upon this world with a major definite purpose in life. Everyone has a unique destiny for contributing to this world using their unique blend of talents and passions. I have no doubt that most people today work hard and stay busy with daily activities. The problem I've noticed is that many people live their lives without any sense of meaningful purpose that gives their lives passion and significance. They get caught up in the daily mechanical routines of life and they become creatures of habit rather than purpose-driven beings. Finding and shaping your major definite purpose is perhaps the most important thing that you will ever do in your life because your purpose is the driving force that spawns all the achievements that you will ever accomplish and it provides that unlimited source of motivation that drives you to achieve all the goals that you set for yourself and enables you to live life to the fullest.
So teach us to number our days that we may get a heart of wisdom.
Until you get to Genesis 1:5, there was no time as we know it today “twenty-hour,” when God called the light day and the darkness night. And there was evening and there was morning. Here you can say any given day between dusk and dawn. The Lord Jesus Christ spoke of a day of twelve hours, assuredly of light since does not stumble (John 11:9). The lord Jesus also indicates that the day is the time of opportunity for services that
Outlined in Driscoll’s article “What are the various Christian Views on Creation” the author provides six examples of the creation account. This writer initially held to the literal six 24 hour days. Before this particular theology assignment, I had not given this thought of actual days nor the story of creation the proper study. In Genesis 1, it states “…evening and morning establishes the first day” I then realized that there were family members and friends of mine who failed to take the time to ponder and study this subject as well; after all, not only is this very significant but without taking the time to research it, can cause one to believe an actual day to be longer than 24 hours, which in term weakens the foundation of the message of the Cross; the issue of sin, Jesus’s death, burial and resurrection.
On the first day God creates the foundation on which the rest of the earth and surrounding universe is built. This begins with his command let there be light'. He then goes on to separate the light from the darkness, naming them night and day.
Ephesians 5:15-17 says, "Be very careful, then, how you live -- not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. Therefore, do not be foolish, but
What is the meaning of life? Well known Greek philosphers such as Socrates and Plato believed that our purpose in this life was to gain knowledge in preparation for the next life. Other Philosophers such as Epicurus believed that pleasure is the main goal in life. After giving these ideas lots of thought, I have come to my own conclusion that the true meaning of life is far more complex than either of these; far too complex for any human to fully comprehend. In fact these two different philosophies are only part of the grand picture. If it were that easy for men to figure out our lives wouldn't be so messed up now. The meaning of life revolves around many different things. I
I can remember as a child always asking myself the “why” questions of life. What is the purpose of life? Why are we here? What is the purpose of life? Why do certain things happen? And is there really a God? I had always kept these questions to myself and eventually pushed them out of my mind altogether. I was raised in a Christian household and you just were not allowed to ask questions of that nature and doubt the faith. The world is the way it is because God made it that way and that is all there is to it. I was really excited to take this class because it would finally give me the opportunity to exercise my personal thoughts and beliefs. I have come to agree with Socrates that “the unexamined life is not
The consideration of the purpose of life has been ongoing and is never-ending throughout the course of history. The question itself has caused many people to generate many different strong views and opinions based on traditional, ideological backgrounds, and religious outlooks. The deliberation about the meaning of life will never end since there is not one reassuring basic, general answer. Instead, examine the question in another way, like, “What is my purpose in life?” The purpose of life varies from one person to another because of “free will.” While some people believe that for every human, life is called to some divine duty by God, everyone has a different drive that is waiting to be discovered within themselves, and people must set
In January people often make New Year’s resolutions. They think of things that they want to change or make better and, promise themselves that in the next year they will accomplish it. Let’s be real though, how many people really do succeed? Probably not so many. But of course I made a few, and this year I am really determined to full fill in at least one of them. This year in 2018 I plan to get in better shape, learn a new language and, earn some money. If you made a New Year’s resolution too, remember that’s it's okay to fail, just try your best!

Life as we know it could vanish within seconds. The next day is not promised to anyone that walks on this earth. As we live our everyday lives peacefully, we tend not to think what our mission or purpose in life is. Instead, we think what we must do for that to be a “successful” person. Despite this way of thinking, just think for a second. What makes life meaningful? What is life anyway? These questions dive right into the heart of the philosophical, psychological, and the biological aspects of life and what the true meaning of life is. This is a very arguable topic due to every person’s different perspective on life and what it means to them. In summary, I personally think that life is simply what you make of it and each person’s accomplishments has its own merit
My whole life I have always wanted to become a successful engineer, and graduate from the University of Cincinnati. Some of my goals in life are to go to the University of Cincinnati. Another one of my goals is to become some type of engineer. But as of right now I would like to be a aerospace engineer. To be honest I really don’t know what influenced me to want to become and engineer. But something about engineering always appealed to me for some reason. But lately my engineering teacher has had a positive impact on me and is really making me like engineering and the overall field. So I guess that Mr. Smith has influenced me into being an engineer. My plan b is to be an engineer too. But this type of engineering would just be easier to
My goal in life is to be a great friend and wife to my fiancé. An exceptional and admirable mother that teaches her children not just right and wrong, but how to be healthy, happy, successful, responsible adults who can do the same for their families. I don’t want to lose sight of who I am and the person I am meant to be in the process. All the while, enjoying every bit of life and making every moment count.
