1.) According to the tests it shows that I have a lot of charisma and I tend to have people lean towards my opinions. I am a goal oriented person because it keeps me structured during times by which it’s hard to stay on one accord. I enjoy helping others find the big picture because

I found this to be helpful because these values describe me to the fullest extent. Consequently, these test and results showed similarities because they all agreed that I have a social aspect to me that I cannot avoid. An implication with this is sometimes I am not as social as I should be. I have periods of times by which I could be deemed anti-social or an introvert. This could work against me in my career because I would have to always be turned on in order to keep people interested and focused.
One thing that was different was how they said I want to be recognized, I always felt that I missed out on some recognition due to the fact that the work ethic I displayed tend not to receive much recognition.
I would have to become more balanced when it comes to my limitations in order to become a better leader and enforcer for my potential careers because my limitations have the ability to become my strengths. My greatest strength is being able to relate to people is helpful within human resources because I will be talking to plenty of people. I feel that the career I want to pursue would help me improve on communicating and everything else of the like.
2. I see that my career as a job because I wouldn’t want to think about it as something in obligated to do but something I want to do. I feel that I would follow
Since I like to engage with others and am energized by social interactions, I scored high in the trait of extroversion. By asserting myself in groups, I take on leadership roles when working with other people. I have a positive outlook on life and try to be friendly, energetic and adaptable to change. Easy to interact with others, I find it easy to form new friendships.
George Bernard Shaw once said, “Life isn’t about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself.” As we age, we create ourselves by developing unique personalities. It differs from each individual because of our own perspective, values, and experiences in life. Personality is a mixture of distinctive behaviors, thoughts, motives and emotions that characterize over time. Since I’ve never paid attention to what personalities I have, it was difficult for me to determine what trait of personalities that I adapted. But, I frequently get told that I am sweet, caring, approachable, and have charisma. I took 3 personality tests to further understand my personality. The tests I took was the Myers-Briggs, Temperament, and the Big 5 Personality
The 6 point grading scale along with my erratic home life has made it challenging to get good grades. My mom is an alcoholic. Her drinking became really atrocious in 8th grade through my junior year. She went to get help at a treatment center at the beginning of my sophomore year. When she got back, she relapsed several times during the next year, but in the middle of my Junior year she drank for the last time and has not touched alcohol since. The drinking and having an autistic brother put an enormous amount of stress on my parents marriage and they ended up getting a divorce in 10th grade. I lived with my mom and saw my dad just a few hours a week maybe less for the next few years. I was forced to grow up quicker than most kids because
I took my seat after the bell had rung waiting for my teachers instruction. Today was the day I dreaded the most, grade check’s. My teacher called us up to her desk one by one, it felt like I was being called to the judge's bench. The room was dim; the only light came from tall white lamps in each corner of the room. I could hear each person breathing heavy, there were only ten of us. I picked up my head and looked around the room. Everyone sat twiddling their thumbs waiting their turn anxiously. A girl at the end of the table had her head resting in her hands while breathing deeply. The teacher called her name, and I felt my stomach turn upside down; I was scared for her. As her grades were read aloud tears rolled down her face. She returned to her seat defeated. Her sister sat right next to her shaking her head in disappointment. Her sister began to scold her in front of the class telling her how
I have received a professional bachelor degree in Finance, specializing in banking and insurance, where I have gained excellent theoretical and practical knowledge in finance analysis, management, accounting, statistics, and technology. Currently I am studying at XXX University to obtain MBA in International Banking and Finance. My expectation is that with an MBA, my strengths will position me to pursue a broader scope of practice within other fields than audit, and in a variety of settings beyond the financial services with which I am most familiar.
the only area which I felt were not accuract to my personality were the career list it gave me. It gave me a lot of jobs that insist on mathematically reasoning, which is not a strong point of mines. Other than this I was surprised at the test’s accuracy.
My top motivation types were tied for growth and existence needs with relatedness also being very high. My dominant needs also tied for achievement and power. For each of the work related awards I found that I greatly value all except for vacation time. On my perception of others, I scored in between which means that I am flexible between the x and y theories. It was also discovered on this test that I have very specific course performance goals. I learned on this test that I have very strong self-efficacy which means that I am very confident in my abilities to succeed. In my attitude towards achievement, I favor successful people being rewarded. I scored extremely high on job motivating potential. I have a high score which indicates that I respond positively to an enriched job
Many times throughout my life, I have needed advice from somebody. There are times when I am in a certain situation that I do not know how to handle, and therefore I seek help from people that I look up to. I have been given many pieces of advice that were brilliant ideas and that helped me solve a problem or deal with an issue that was burdening me. One particular piece of advice that I was given was undoubtedly the most important to me and it continually helps me through predicaments that I encounter.
I have strength in doing very well within a job, but this has been primarily in pursuing goals already established. Question eight in the assessment is an obvious weakness. I do not like defining or clarifying goals for others, I am a good listener; but I hesitate in summarizing what someone has said in a way that might help them in identifying a goal, as well as making practical plans in how to get there. When I do help others in identifying goals, it has tended to be in a negative way of pointing out how they are not on track to do well. I do think goals are socially constructed, and we stumble our way into them too often. I know that I have had my own version of formulated plans, which I see as ideal, and when interruptions come, that cause me to make formative plans, I tend to see it as a loss or I become very self-critical of my original plans. The comments you had in the podcast about realized plans and strategy being something that is only clear when we look back, helped me see how I could improve my own attitude about this. Question two in the assessment was answered mostly false, because I do not have a definite outcome in my life, which I want to achieve. I have hints at best. I am in my fourth year of college, and I still do
My total score was a 19 for this assessment. This means that I would prefer a company that is formal, mechanistic, rule-oriented, and structured culture. I do agree with that, I like companies that are well organized, prepared and they know how to operate. The statement that I agree with that would explain this is statement 7, I like things to be stable and predictable. I am a person that does not likes much risk I do prefer safety and stability.
Second, after taking the “Do What You Are” quiz my results were extraverts, intuitive, feelers, and judgers. In other words I work on multiple tasks, I focus on “what could be” instead of “what is”, help others and be appreciated,
Other than that, I found the following to be accurate on my personality. Granted, I think the following results are useful to me because the personality test gives me options on a certain career fields I could potentially consider for my personality type. The information will help me in figuring out my future career because I am one of those people who has not figured out what I want to do for the rest of my life. I think the results will help guide me into the right direction for a career. Finally, after exploring the personality page links, I learned that I appear to seem like an extrovert but I am an introvert. The following means that I am so well at connecting with people that it seems like I am an extrovert. Also, I learned that I am strongly humanitarian in outlook. I am not surprised by this because I have been told by others that I am an individual who always tries to help make things better for not just a community but for others. Overall, I found the personality test to be very informative and I am definitely going to pay close attention to certain areas about my personality type to see if my personality really is like the test says it
Overall, I believe that the test was fairly accurate in measuring certain factors of my personality so much so that it was difficult for me to find certain factors that I did not agree with. However there were two factors, E (dominance) and Q1 (rebelliousness), which I believe were a bit overrated in myself. Aside from these the test seemed to adequately define facets of my personality. For “warmth” (factor A) my sten score read 4, indicating that I am slightly more reserved and critical that easygoing and good-natured. I scored a 7 in “ego strength” (factor C), classifying me as more stable and emotionally mature and less emotional and changeable in attitudes. In dominance (factor E) my sten score read 8, meaning I am more assertive, competitive and stubborn rather than submissive, dependent and humble. I received an average score of 5 in “impulsivity” (factor F) indicating a slightly more serious and sober approach to the world over the cheerful and enthusiastic view. As for “boldness” (factor H), I received a sten score of 4 signifying a more shy and restrained approach to things as opposed to an adventurous genial one. I received a median score of 5 for “emotional sensitivity” (factor I) demonstrating my slightly more tough-minded and self-reliant view in contrast to a sensitive insecure one. For “imagination” (factor M) a score of 8, indicating that I am more imaginative, unconventional and absorbed in ideas and am less so for practicality and the prosaic.
The test was telling very different side of me. I never viewed myself as introverted, enjoys time being alone, being artsy. But also I agreed with myself being sensitive to what I say to others, tend to avoid hurting other’s emotions. I tend to be empathic and tries to approach a problem from other’s perspective view point. I tend to watch what others do, want and uncomfortable with before I take my action toward to it. From that I noticed that I tend to get stressed out from being with big group of people where I feel I can handle all of their differences and tend to keep the group small then I feel more comfortable being with
