Abortion is a tough subject, especially because it is very controversial and many people have their own beliefs about it. But for the people who are for abortion don’t understand that it’s murder. Or maybe they do and thinks it’s okay to kill a baby because of their life situation. A child’s life means the world, they may not have a voice to speak up and say they deserve a chance to live that’s why it is important to have the baby and seek other options. So, I am against abortion, it is wrong and people should not even consider the thought of it due to it being the easy way out. Abortion should be illegal because it is wrong without parental consent, the rights of a child, and it’s murder.
If a teen is pregnant and the parents know that their daughter will be expecting, than it should be fine depending on how the parents feel. However, being slick on getting an abortion without the parent's consent is completely impolite . Teresa Stanton Collett, "Transporting Minors for Immoral Purposes: The Case for the Child Custody Protection Act & the Child Interstate Abortion Notification Act," January 9, 200 claimed that, “Adolescents are often reluctant to inform their parents about any action that they know would displease or disappoint them. Therefore, it is not surprising that adolescents are fearful of their parents' disapproval or disappointment upon learning of a minor daughter's pregnancy...” (Collett). Although, the child is afraid of what their parents might declare, they
Should abortion be allowed in the United States? If so, then under what circumstances? Abortion has been one of the most heatedly debated topics in the U.S. for more than a century. This paper explores the history and international use of abortion, as well as the empirical and moral claims made by both sides of the issue. We will also examine the key positions taken on abortion and look at those affected by it. Abortion has been one of the most popular and argumentative topics that has still yet to be settled. Ultimately the question we can ask when trying to solve this issue is whether or not pregnant women should have the right to kill an unborn baby. Abortion is the ending of a pregnancy before birth takes place and is a moral wrong. Can we as a society call ourselves human if we allow the deaths of unborn babies to take place? Those who take the side of pro-choice or as also known as pro-abortion often use statements concerning life, humanity, human rights and freedom to support their claims. I believe abortion should be illegal because we as a society must protect the human lives that are in danger whether or not they are in their first
Is it right to abort a child? What if the victim was raped? Abortion can cause harm to a woman’s life and sometimes death. The moment a woman decides to abort a child is the day she takes the life of an innocent child. Does any human being deserve to have their life taken?
of rape or incest may not want to have the baby, as it would remind
Abortion has been and still is one of the most controversial topics in American culture. The reason for the controversy is the different viewpoints of this very personal matter. Some believe that abortion is the same as murder. Others believe it’s a personal choice which only they have the right to make. Due to the nature of the procedure and the concerns associated with ending a pregnancy, abortion will continue to top the list of “touchy” subjects in American politics and culture. As a pro-choice advocate, it is important for the right to have an abortion to be established and protected.
Abortion is widely debated across the world and in 1973 Roe v. Wade would start an issue with ethical and legal issues. There are multiple cases arguing why it should or shouldn’t be lawful to go through with this procedure. Women should have the right to get an abortion as It is her rights to decide if they aren’t able to be able have a child, the woman shouldn’t have to rely on anyone else, she should be able to make this decision as they have to carry it for 9 months and endure the physical pain. Abortion should not be illegal because it is justifiable in cases of rape, or when the woman has mental health or financial issues.
Would you want someone, your own mother even, end your life? You, a fetus, a starving being just months alive, which’s only life support is of the mother, becomes injected with a salt solution. Suddenly your small minuscule brain erupts from the inside out, and in a matter of minutes, you are sucked out of your home for short term of your life, and into the trash you go. How can this monstrosity be a legalized practice for over 40 years? Ever since that fateful day of the Roe vs. Wade court case, the United States was never the same. Ever since the stomping ground of Pro-Life and Pro-Choice freedom fighters started back in the early 70’s, as the court case above all other court cases within
The topic of abortion has been a highly debated and highly controversial issue before America was even founded. There are many aspects of the debate and many angles that can be taken. In Americas Society Abortion is a topic that most people rather not face. More and more abortions occur everyday, causing potential lives to be terminated due to irresponsible sexual activity among adults and teens. Through every choice in life, there is a decision that must follow. Abortion is a woman’s individual choice; therefore, must be a legal part in todays society. Individual rights have an outstanding role in the controversial topic, on whether abortion should become legal in the United States . The individual rights for abortion show rights of life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness. As well, women should be able to have the choice to choose to have an abortion for several important reasons. The right to make these decisions should lie in the hands of the “mother” to make decisions concerning their own to make decisions concerning their own bodies. In addition, women should be given the choice to have an abortion if they are too young
A lot of people consider abortion a form of murder because they consider the fetus to be a human being. It is because of this that they would never get an abortion and they would get mad at others who did. People consider babies a gift from God and even unplanned pregnancies are seen as God’s gift to the parents. People who are against abortion state other humans are in no position to play God and that we have no right to choose who lives and who dies. Some reasons that pregnant women consider not having an abortion are because the chances of getting pregnant afterwards decline and because of the emotional pain that is felt with the loss of a mother’s child. It is a very tragic event in a woman’s life and its something that can’t be reversed or taken back. People who are against abortion argue that
Abortion is a legal medical method to stop the premature delivery that is adopted in most countries of the world. It was legalized many years ago but nowadays we live in the civilized society where the human life is the most precious treasure and the question about the appropriateness of abortions is of current importance. Nowadays there are two opposing camps who present their arguments. People who support abortion insist that prohibition of it will deprive people of their rights to have free choice. On the contrary, people who stand for banning abortion claim that abortion deprive a human being from the right to live. Every person must decide for himself what is more important: deprivation of choice or deprivation of life. Another point
Abortion is a debatable question that has been argued over a long period of time. The controversy of abortion has caused or may cause deaths and several violent conflicts between, should abortion be legal or illegal. Abortion is one of the most common medical procedures performed worldwide also known as elective termination of pregnancy (History,2016). Abortion is the destruction of the fetus or unborn child while the child is still in the mother’s womb. This procedure can be done almost anyone from the mother herself to back alley, most common, abortion clinics. More than 40% of all women will end a pregnancy by abortion and remains common in the US. But the questions is should abortion be legal or illegal?
“If we accept that a mother can kill her own child, how can we tell other people not to kill each other? Any country that accepts abortion is not teaching its people to love, rather, to use violence to get what they want” -- Mother Theresa
" If you wish to uphold basic human justice, you must do so for everyone- not just selectively for the people that your side, your culture, your nation designates as OK."
