Ultimately the question we can ask when trying to solve this issue is whether or not pregnant women should have the right to kill an unborn baby. Does the abortion help people to solve their problems? Some people think it does. But it is very controversial issue and people keep fighting on that what is good for them. What does exactly abortion mean? Abortion is an early ending pregnancy. Sometimes abortion can happen by its own which call miscarriage or spontaneous abortion. It depends on women’s health of some external factors. But women can also choose to end their pregnancy by surgery or by taking some medicine, unfortunately. But there is not enough evidence to do the abortion even women can find any reasons for that. Most people say that they don’t want the baby but if you have it already then what can you do? We cannot decide anything for the babies because they already have some rights to live. We are nobody to take their life away. We don’t create people and do not give them lives it means we cannot take it or make any decision about them. Only God who created everything have plans for our lives and it’s in His will to give the life and take it away. Unfortunately, people always want to be first in front of God and decide what to do with their unborn children. Taking away babies lives means to kill them. It is the same thing as you kill the person or unborn child. It is the same crime but people don’t want to believe in that. Abortion is widely debated across the world and in 1973 Roe v. Wade would start an issue with ethical and legal issues. There are multiple cases arguing why it should or shouldn’t be lawful to go through with this procedure. Women should have the right to get an abortion as It is her rights to decide if they aren’t able to be able have a child, the woman shouldn’t have to rely on anyone else, she should be able to make this decision as they have to carry it for 9 months and endure the physical pain. Abortion should not be illegal because it is justifiable in cases of rape, or when the woman has mental health or financial issues.

The issue before the Supreme Court on the case of Roe v. Wade was on abortion. In august 1969 a single pregnant woman based in Texas wanted to get rid her pregnancy through an abortion. But her doctor denied the request on a reason that it was against the Texas law. Then Jane Roe identified by the media as Norma McCorvey sued her doctor for refusing to abort her baby she sought legal help and filed against henry wade, district attorney for Dallas County, Texas. Jane Roe argued that the law of Texas was unconstitutional. She later on requested an injunction to restrain Henry Wade. Roe’s lawyer claimed Texas abortion law violated her rights under due process clause of the 14th amendment.

In the case of Roe vs. Wade, Jane Roe, whose real name is Norma McCorvey was at the time a single pregnant woman who challenged the Constitution of Texas’s abortion laws. The laws made it a crime to obtain or attempt an abortion except for medical reasons like to save the life of the mother. Roe claimed rights to privacy. In 1971, the case was then sent to be argues in the supreme court. In 1972, it was argued again. The case involved the rights of privacy that were implied by the 1st, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 9th, and 14th amendments(Roe v Wade- Case Brief Summary, 2008).

The topic of abortion and its legality is one that is strongly felt on both sides of the issue. This is one of the most heated arguments you can get into and if I am being fully honest I am a little nervous about publicizing my view point. But here is my research and arguments for whether abortion should be legal or not.

Roe v. Wade was a landmark Supreme Court case in 1973. The plaintiff, Jane Roe, was challenging the state of Texas and its abortion laws when she was denied an abortion in 1969. She was suing the Dallas county district attorney, Henry Wade, in order to prove the laws unconstitutional. The laws stated that “abortion is illegal except if necessary to protect the woman's health,” (Mezey). The cases end result was that the court ruled the law as unconstitutional and that abortion be legal, with certain restrictions.

The Roe v. Wade case is about a woman named Norma McCorvey a.k.a. Jane Roe, who wanted to get an abortion, but the state of Texas had a law that prohibited women from getting an abortion expect to save the woman’s life. This case was originally argued on December 13, 1971. The first time, Roe’s attorney, Sarah Weddington could not locate the constitutional hook of her argument for Justice Potter Stewart. Sarah’s opponent, Jay Floyd misfired from the start. In the second round, on October 11, 1972, Sarah Weddington sharpened her constitutional argument. That led to Sarah’s opponent, Robert Flowers, to come at her with strong questioning from Justices Potter Stewart and Thurgood Marshall. Finally, the case was decided on January 22, 1973. The Roe v. Wade case became prompted as a national debate that still continues today about issues including whether, and to what intent, abortion should be legal.

Abortion is a debatable question that has been argued over a long period of time. The controversy of abortion has caused or may cause deaths and several violent conflicts between, should abortion be legal or illegal. Abortion is one of the most common medical procedures performed worldwide also known as elective termination of pregnancy (History,2016). Abortion is the destruction of the fetus or unborn child while the child is still in the mother’s womb. This procedure can be done almost anyone from the mother herself to back alley, most common, abortion clinics. More than 40% of all women will end a pregnancy by abortion and remains common in the US. But the questions is should abortion be legal or illegal?

Of all the legal, ethical, and moral issues we Americans continuously fight for or against, abortion may very well be the issue that Americans are most passionate about. She buys the product, finds it defective and wants to return it for a refund, but it is too late.” Abortion is one of the most controversial topics amongst not only politicians but also every human being alive; rather they are pro-choice or pro-life. I am personally in between; I believe that is the choice of that particular woman. We can not as a society decide the choices of others, especially if it is not a written law. But also I believe that it is murder. It was in 1973 when the Roe v Wade case abolished all laws prohibiting abortion.
