Americans should eat less being there are so many obese adults and children due to unhealthy eating habits. Eating less we could live longer, much healthier and not be overweight.
Many American’s are obese, resulting in a problem that we do not take the time to address. So many different things go wrong by not eating the right foods. For instance, the average American who switches to a health, reduced meat, or vegetarian diet will lose weight.
Americans are having so many different sicknesses, high and low blood pressure, and low iron. This is just some of the problems caused by not eating right. Americans need to start eating less junk foods and start making better food health choices. At home, school that we could get a handle on this obesity problem in American.

In the United States the society needs to work on controlling this problem known as obesity. It is a problem that if does not get controlled sooner than later, will spiral out of hand even more. Before this spirals out of control society needs to take action to reducing the cost of healthy food amongst middle-low class citizens so they can eat the
It can be said that most American’s are aware that exercise and diet help you stay healthy. In our environment today we have too much to do and not enough time. An article I found about the factors that lead to obesity said this:
Being overweight has always been an issue in America but sometimes it'll get way out of hand. Obesity is a huge problem being faced in America. Many Americans face it from eating unhealthy and not getting the amount of exercise they need. Trying to prevent this in any way possible is a great idea being able to live healthier and enjoy more things, starting with small things such as banning sugary drinks and listing calories is a great way to start.
Obesity has become a major problem in America today. It is the condition of being extremely over weight, is widespread and is one of the leading health problems in the United States today. Almost two-thirds of Americans are either overweight or obese and obesity has more than doubled in the past couple decades. It causes extreme health problems such as diabetes and heart disease, and can lead to death. Unless, there is a major change regarding diet, exercise and life style in America, then the obesity rates will continue to rise, causing health problems that can affect a persons life forever. If both children and adults change their diet and lifestyle, then the rate of obesity will decrease, resulting in healthier bodies and a longer life
How much we eat and how healthy we are depends on many variables, but a big one is potion size. Portion sizes in the United States have been steadily increasing, this is bad because people are still eating at the same places and ordering the same things as before, but now they have more calories, which if not controlled leads to obesity. Portions sizes in America therefore need to decrease, or it will be very difficult or impossible to end or decrease obesity in America.
The average American eats 2,534 calories per day when the recommended amount is 2,000 calories a day. This is a tremendous difference which can largely be blamed for how Americans fix their plates. This excess caloric intake every day is causing obesity to rise across the country. Not only is it causing Americans to gain weight, but because what they are eating is unhealthy, or proportioned incorrectly, people are losing energy levels which means they are burning less calories a day than they would if they ate better. This is a problem that can be fixed with information that is already readily excisable, all Americans need to do is implement it into their daily lives.
Did you know that the people with the most illnesses are those who don’t have a healthy eating diet? By maintaining an unhealthy diet, more people become sick and that means medical expenses have a high rise. The government and everyone that lives in the United States are somehow affected by this issue. This issue is prevalent across the entire United States, but is mostly seen in low-income communities other than wealthy communities. If we all ate healthy, this issue wouldn’t be so much of a problem. Medical expenses would be lowered and less people would die or suffer from health illnesses since they are introducing healthy nutrients into their body. Unhealthy eating is not the only choice out there. Ever since eating habits changed over the decades, people don’t have to worry about preparing their own foods, since now most meals
Americans are dying. Studies have shown that 1 in 5 deaths in the United States of America has been linked with obesity (Mercola, 2013). We need to act now and change something or all the generations after us will suffer the consequences. It was our choice as a country to get this big and now it should be our choice to reverse that decision and alter our future for the better. At the rate we are going, our longevity rates are going to plummet and we will be lucky to live past the age of 50. This epidemic has gone on for way too long now, and it needs to come to an end. In the past, we did not have this problem because it was just common sense that diet and exercise were fundamental for surviving. Eating unhealthily back then was not an option or luxury that most people had. Before the 1980s, people lead more active lifestyles and ate more natural things. Today, people tend to live a more sedentary lifestyle and do not think about what they are eating before they consume it.
Seventy-eight point six million people, thirty-four point nine percent, one third of the United States, are Obese. For decades the United States had held the record for highest percentage of obesity. Something we as Americans should not be proud of! This percentage of obesity is affected mainly by the foods we eat, and by how much exercise we do. Just like the 80% Nutrition and 20% exercise guideline for losing weight. Thus causing Nutrition to be one of the main problems of our generation. Fast food restaurants are all walking distance from where we live! Instant meals can be done with a microwave, causing some households to cook a lot less often. In order to stop these unhealthy habits from expanding to our future generations all schools in America should teach more about nutrition.
United States(US) is most obese country in North America and has not taken effective measures to significantly dwindle down the obese or overweight population. Obesity is a condition where a person has built up body fat from food to the point where their weight can have negative effects on their health. Being overweight means a person weighs more than what is considered normal for the age, height and gender while being obese is a person having a Body Mass Index of over 30 pounds. If untreated the accumulated body fat can cause type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure and heart disease, for this reason the United States must take effective action to tackle down the obese population. A common myth is that people become obese because they chose to eat junk food and refuse to eat little to no healthy food with no self-control of their eating habits. The real truth is fast food companies sell unhealthy foods cheaper than healthy foods resulting in low income families and people on a tight budget to chose the cheaper food deal. The cheaper food deals combined with the rise of technology to make transportation easier than the 20th century and walking seem like a chore. The unfortunate phenomenon has made it the duty of the 18 to 25 year old, which from here on will be referred to as young adults, to set healthy examples for future generations while demanding that fast food businesses make healthy foods just as affordable as unhealthy food.
There are a lot of global issues around the world. Unfortunately, America is at the top when it comes to the obesity rate. The obesity rate is increasing rapidly and according to the Center of Disease Control, more than one third of the adults are obese and one in every 5 kids ages 6-19 are obese. The Center of Disease Control reported that over the last 30 years, the obesity rate has tripled in kids eighteen and under. In 2030, according to Trust for America’s Health and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, 44% of Americas population are projected to be obese. The western diet consisting of fast food, junk food, processed food, and sugary beverages isn’t helping the situation. Research found by DoSomething.org claimed that 31%
The U.S. is one of the fattest countries in the world. More than ⅓ of American adults are obese. You probably have an obese friend, not only is it unaesthetic, but it’s also extremely unhealthy. Obesity can shorten a person’s life by 14 years. Unless you’d like to spend the last 14 years of your life without your beloved fat friend, then something needs to be done. It isn’t just a few people spending 14 years of their lives feeling guilty for helping end their fat friends life sooner, if over ⅓ of people are obese then the majority of people have to carry the weight of ending a friends life too soon. If action isn't taken the problem will just continue to get worse. I propose we ban the sale and production of all junk food and have government
Initially, junk food should be banned because it is the leading cause of childhood obesity. The word “childhood obesity” is defined as a condition where a kid is overweight for his/ her age or height. According to the online article, “Childhood Obesity Facts,” it gives statistics on childhood obesity when the article addresses, “The percentage of children with obesity in the United States has more than tripled since the 1970s. Today, about one in five school-aged children (ages 6–19) has obesity.” This evidence informs that childhood obesity is increasing at a severe rate and not peaking. Other evidence from the site, “http://www.usnews.com,” suggests that junk food is unhealthy for kids and a major contributor to childhood obesity. These
In the United States, there are increasing numbers of people suffering from obesity. In Michael Pollan’s book “Omnivore’s Dilemma,” he says that three of every five Americans are overweight and one of every five is obese (76). Obesity becomes a major health problem in the United States. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the estimate medical cost of obesity in the United States was $147 billion a year. Why Americans are obese? The answer for obesity is that Americans are relying too much on fast food. Many factors that contribute to obesity epidemic; particularly, fast food is the chief causes of obesity.
I strongly recommend that Americans need to put an effort to manage their weight. Some of the best ways to help control your weight is to lose weight, eat healthy, and exercise frequently. Even though it might be difficult to manage your weight it is still possible. If Americans do not take action about this issue of America's weight problems then it might affect America in a negative way.
