America's Many Gifts

Spending a fair amount of time deployed in the defense of the United States of America has led me to appreciate all that this country has to offer, and not take the freedoms we enjoy for granted. Most of all,

America's gift they have gave us is being safe. The reason why i say this is they fought in war to try to get to other countries to leave us alone. Also like in the war,world war 2 the war lasted from 1939 to 1945 that shows they did not want to give up until it was over because they wanted to keep us safe. Also another thing is that to the day now the united states has keep us safe from day one and if anybody tries to hurt us in any way they will be killed that is why i say the gift they gave us is to be safe. So another reason why is so you now how the bombs they are sending over here are army knows they are sending them that shows that they keep us safe. Have you ever wondered about America's gift to your generation. Have you taken taken the time to think about any gifts America has given you to your generation. Do you have any family members that have fought in any of the world wars or any wars. The few gifts I thought of is the gift or rights, education, speech, and opinion.

America’s greatest gift to my generation is that how good of a country I have and to have the ability to have freedom and also to have all these veterans to serve our country and also to have liberty.

America’s soldiers are fighting and have been for the longest time, for our freedom they have won over and over again for us, they fought for our freedom so we have the rights that all people should have. They have given gifts that have changed my life since long long before the day I was born. Some of the many were freedom, rights, and pride. America has given more and more from the day the Declaration of Independence was signed.

America is a country that has freedom from head to toe. We give people rights that no other country does, like freedom of speech and religion. We can go where we want when we want. People can choose what school and church they go to. We don't get punished for saying something bad. One of the things we get to do is voting for our government. A person can choose if they want to serve and the people I know that have served have been humbled. They notice our freedom. They see how we help other countries.The things we get to do are so valuable. The alliances we have around the world are so amazing. People protect us and we protect them. Freedom of speech, choice, and religion was the gift soldiers died for. America doesn’t realize how much sorrow family go through to get of freedom, but Americans use it as hate.

Hi, I am Matthew Schuettpelz I’m a 8th grader at JR Gerritts middle school. Have you ever sat down and thought about. If there was not an Airforce, Military or Navy to name a few. Our country would not be like it is today. We have so many freedoms, we never think about the others that don’t have those same freedoms. This is all thanks to everyone that was or is still in the armed forces. Some of the gifts that have been given to our generation are. We all think freedom is “free” because we didn’t have to do anything to get it, but in reality, men and women lose their lives every day for our freedom. The United States has five branches of armed services, which include, Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marine Corps, and Navy. Each one of these branches have a special job. The Air Force focuses on flying, but barley any of the personnel actually fly. Most of the airmen and airwomen work on flight support missions, protecting bases, and constructing new airstrips. For example, North Korea is a dictatorship the ruler is cruel and mean if nobody or anybody will not listens to orders they will die or be slaved. Kim Jong-il will hunt anybody down. He what’s every country to have a ruler such as U.S. of America and U.S. is a democracy because we have the freedom do want ever we can to survive the dangers in the world and fight struggles. In America we have a number of freedoms, that many countries don't have. Four instance: the right to vote, right to protest, freedom of the press, right to bear arms, all of which our soldiers are willing to lay down their lives for. In fact, in many parts of the world these types of freedoms could be punishable by death or in prison. We are truly blessed!

America’s a great place, and people don’t take time to recognize that. Freedom and safety are taken for granted in America. Protection is something expected here. We can worship freely. No one thinks twice about something bad happening to them if they go to church. We now have so many ways to remind ourselves about the great America. Education, in my opinion is the most valuable gift America has given me. This is the thing about America. We realize our problem, and we fix it through any way we can find.

America has many gifts, maybe it’s updated technology, or our democracy. There is one truly special thing that makes us stand out. In America, you have the gift of choices. You can choose your career, housing, and even how you want to spend your life. Everyone has the choice to be anything if they really want it.

Soldiers make a hidden difference everyday and many citizens never step back and realize the reality. The reality is that safety does not come free. It comes from sacrifices, selflessness, and battles. When troops are on the battlefield away from their families, sacrificing mentally, physically and financially, not all appreciate everything soldiers and their families endure. Some Americans still have the audacity to vandalize the memorials built to honor soldiers, judge mental and physical drains on
