We started hiking up the trail that lead to Amicalola Falls i truly admired how beautiful it was the soft wind brushing against, The sweet honeysuckle, the fresh air,the rustling trees, the blue jays flying over head singing a tune, the beautiful flowers along the path, and the little critters chattering. But, then i notice one or two mosquitoes buzzing around me and they kept pestering me and i didn't know why but that i when i realized that it could be my orange-blossom scented lotion i had put on this morning it was like a fruit to the mosquitoes then one landed on my shoulder SMACK i slapped it off before it had the chance. But then, before i knew it what looked like a black cloud but as they flew towards me i noticed they were mosquitoes and surrounded me like a black blanket of bugs then i felt stinging bites all over like someone was poking me with their sharp stingers like a thumb tack i crouched down and wailed " Help me!!" …show more content…
Angry and annoying mosquitoes were buzzing around me and the i felt a sharp pinch " OWW!" i screamed loudly my hands waving wildly as i moved around in panic i ran forwards befuddling and bumping into a tree beside some rocks as the mosquitoes were hovering around me the army of mosquitoes buzzed around me. Then Tamara yelled "close your eyes and hold your breath too!" i took a deep swallow of air and held my breath and squeezed my eyes shut and covered them with my arms for good measure she sprayed the cold mist as the mosquitoes began to retreat i opened my eyes and checked myself i yelled " i'm one big mosquito bite!" Tamara laughed and replied " Well come over here so we can put some lotion on those bites" i ran up to her and let her put lotion on my bites and then we continued on our
Arizona is a beautiful place for anyone to live. Growing up in Phoenix has been quite the experience. I have had a few encounters with different animals such as snakes, scorpions, and coyotes. With mountains surrounding us all around it is hard to avoid these creatures. Each mountain has a different view to offer and they are the most unbelievable sites, especially when the sun is setting. The scenery in Arizona is something out of a book. It does get pretty hot in Arizona, but if you like the cold weather all you have to do is drive a few hours up north to experience snow in the winter and cooler temperatures in the summer. The most popular type of food in Arizona would have to be Mexican food. There is a variety of restaurants all around
Two places I would like to live when I grow up would be either in Toronto, the capital of Ontario, located in southeastern Canada, or Niagara Falls, the most southern point in Ontario, a major tourist city in Canada. Why? Perhaps my primary reason is that Niagara Falls is my hometown and Toronto is the longest place I’ve lived so far—six years. Of course, there are many alternative reasons likewise. Such as the scenery of the Niagara Falls itself is extremely beautiful, moreover natural, hence it is number five of the world’s top visited tourist attractions respectively. According to “The World’s 50 Most Visited Tourist Attractions” by the Huffington Post, 22.5 million people visit annually, acquiring maximum tourists from June through August. This fascinating city overlooks the Horseshoe Falls, otherwise known as the Canadian Falls, which carries nine times more water than its American counterpart. Here, the alluring crescent shaped cataract is a prodigious fifty four meters, or one hundred and seventy seven feet high. Going up close to the falls on the boat was just incredible, although I was only four at the time—I still remember—to think, by what means did nature make something so befittingly stunning! As we neared the falls, the sound of the limpid, fleet water rapids joyfully cascading off the cliff like syrup, consequently pounding against the rocks at the bottom, unmistakably gets louder likewise thundering, until it is deafening. Despite the sound being obstreperous, it is a fraction of nature’s rumbles, making it vibrantly flawless. Accumulating at the bottom, it foamed into lather, bubbling to the surface, shimmering and sparkling as if bejeweled with silver, glinting in the aureate light. At that moment the sun came out, its rays catching onto the watery slide, setting onlookers into a trance. Simultaneously turning it glittery like shreds of silky silver, magical like a spray of fairy dust. While significantly having the same dreamy and illusory façade of a Renaissance painting and the glistening sorcery a mirage brings, it created a filmy mystique around the cascade. As it gurgled within its depths and tinkled on the surface—us onlookers were astonished. Sometimes, a faint band of distinctive
Niagara Falls is my favorite vacation destination. The history and museums have been interesting and kept me wondering about the people that have gone over the Niagara Falls for years. Why did they do it? There have been many people to go over the Falls, some survived and some did not. People take it as a challenge or even just for fun. Many believe that they may come out being rich, they either have a great experience and are able to say they survived the Niagara Falls or they perish to their death. It is against the law to go over the Falls and you will be charged, thousands. I love to watch documentaries on Niagara Falls and hear about the people that have gone over the Falls and survived. Niagara Falls is in North America, it is in Ontario, Canada and is on the border of America and Canada. Canada is in the Era of Global capitalism as of 2017, this means that they are in a transitional state with open ended evolution of capital. The Falls are a great source of electricity for Ontario. Canada is moving into the postindustrial society and has achieved 77% of the population to be urbanized. There is an increase in manufacturing and tertiary sectors of the economy, which is what is leading to modernizing the population. Niagara Falls have three different waterfalls and each is unique to the fitting names, The Horseshoe Fall, American Fall and The Bridal Veil. Every Fall flows into the Niagara River filling the river with 150,000 gallons for water. The Horseshoe Fall is in the shape of a horseshoe and is split in half on the Canadian border and the American border by Goat Island. The Horseshoe Fall has nine times more water than the American Falls and makes up 90% of Niagara River. It stands at 167 feet tall and is 2, 700 feet wide in a horseshoe shape. The American Fall and is located in America and is in the state of New York. This Fall is 110 feet tall and 950 feet in width. This Fall shares its location with The Bridal Veil also in the state of New York. The Bridal Veil is 181 feet from land to top and 56 feet wide. In 1678 the first sighting of the Falls was by Father Louis Hennepin, he was sent on a French expedition. Hennepin published a book called “A
Grand Teton National Park is wonderful to visit any time of year, but Fall is my favorite. Autumn brings many wonderful things to the Tetons, but one thing it takes away are the large crowds of summer. Whew!
Nestled snuggly into the Blue Ridge Mountains was Ridgecrest, North Carolina. Getting there was no joke seeing as the ears popped every five minutes, but the scenery was beautiful.
I have only been at Marist for a few days, but the many experiences I have had here made me realize how fortunate I am to be a part of this community. One of my favorite parts of being at Marist, at least while the weather is nice, is walking to class. The view of the Hudson River with the hills in the background and the train sometimes passing by is like a scene from a painting. It is such an enormous difference from what I have been used to my whole life. Gone are the days of having four minutes to walk between classes trying to push between tons of people in cramped hallways. At Marist, there are lots of students outside walking to class, jogging, driving, or biking. I really like the freedom of the campus where everyone is doing their own thing. It sometimes feels like walking through Central Park.
I layed back, kicked my feet up, and looked up at the sun trying to break through the leaves of the enormous Oak trees. There is one place I always end up when I want to escape from the rest of the world: Pokagon State Park.
Arriving at the Lake and getting out of the car I found myself getting bite up by the annoying and itchy insects called mosquitoes.Unloading and putting on sandals the biting wouldn't stop. Grabbing the spray bottle of bug spray and spraying it on me the biting and the mosquitoes finally stopped them.
The mud glueing my recently bought sneakers to the trail became deeper and deeper as we continued walking but I was too busy admiring the vibrant leaves around me to let it phase me. The smell of trees and the subtle trace of cinnamon floating in the air seemed to shoot into my nose. The wind picked up and formed a nice, light breeze. The crisp air blew through my hair which was firmly tied in a ponytail. I continued walking down the slender path, every once in awhile my path was crossed by a small chipmunk or squirrel. I thought back to this morning when my mom had asked me if I wanted a jacket, I refused. Regretting that decision I crossed my arms in front of my body. It was about 2:00 and I hurried along as the cold air continued whisking
Awe. Light is not beautiful without darkness. My Dad and I stepped outside the cabin into the wee hours of a crisp autumn morning. We were to prepare for a fishing derby that would begin at sunrise and walked down a dark gravel road toward the docks. Already tired to begin with, the freezing mountain air made me even more tired which made be even more cold. The wind blew the terrible odor of a dumpster our way which made the walk even more unbearable. Then, something caught my eye. Through the almost bear trees above me, I saw a canopy filled with stars glimmering through. I found myself face to face with the universe in a cosmic desert, each star a grain of sand.
There are many natural places all over the world. One of the places I have been to, and really enjoyed, is Niagara Falls. This place is absolutely amazing. It has amazing sights and scenes, as well as other fun tourist attractions. Going on the tour at Niagara Falls taught me a lot about the site. I love this place because everytime I go there I am sent to this place that I could find, it just takes me away

It was late night already and you can see the mist outside. I was scared and also was Steven. We both started googling what the bite could mean or what is it. Steven screamed at me that he found something, so I quickly ran to where he was. He found an article that in the 1800s there were a teenage boy that one day disappear into the woods. But before he disappeared he had told his parents that he was bitten and he was started to feel strange and felt that something was in him. Not only did Steven found that article, he found that 10 years ago there was another boy that used to live around my neighborhood that was also disappeared into the woods and was never seen again. I was really concerned that what if he was also bitten and was feeling
One day I was in the sky, but then I heard a noise. There he was my man, Harry with that new bird named Missy. She had her beak on his and I was full of rage. My head was spinning and I felt like I was going to puke. Harry was to blame; he was a big man whore. Just then I thought I should go break his beak but then I thought not to. I was so high up in the sky and all I saw were kids in a park. As I was in the sky I saw a worm, so I flew down and ate it. It made me feel less nauseous and when I was done with it I flew back up to the sky. I was on the hunt for Harry and his mistress, Missy. I flew to where they were and took a feather off of her filthy body. Then I gave Harry a shove and he fell down. When he
When I thought of california I thought of sun, palm trees and warm weather. This is not one of those places. When I found out I was going to California, I packed a bunch of shorts. When I got to Petrolia I realized what a mistake I had made. Petrolia was not sunny and warm. For it was cold and dark where the hippies go to die and grow their weed.
