So, one-night Eva with some of her friends went to a store Sindy was also at but the drive by shooting was for them it was for another kid who was there that beat up someone in the gang. So, Paco took a shot but he missed and hit Sindy’s boyfriend. At first Eva was going to blame it on the kid that was supposed to be killed, but as the story went on she heard Miep Geis talk and that inspired her to do what was right. It inspired her because she said one thing, “I did what I did for the franks because it was the right thing to do.” And she also said. “yall are heroes every day not me I did that because it was right thing.” This must have inspired Eva because she told on
In todays United States we have a huge problem affecting society, gangs and the violence that follows them wherever they go. These days’ gangs aren’t just compiled of grown adults, they often lure in young teens to do dirty work and to add numbers to their turf. Despite laws aimed straight at these gangs they still defy the law and wreak havoc upon the territory that they claim. The members in the gang have a gang first mentality and will do everything possible to provide for and protect their fellow members. They will very rarely snitch on their own to help put a stop to some of the meaningless crimes committed by these savages.
In Policing Gangs in America, Charles Katz and Vincent Webb describes every issue in American Gangs today. The ultimate goal of this book is how the gang officers work and the different kind of atmosphere they work in. Their job isn’t like other law enforcement jobs. It’s one of the more dangerous occupation in the Criminal Justice system. These gang officers focus on how they react to public gang issues.
Gang violence in youth has gotten to far there are more and more juveniles getting recruited by gang members in society. We here all these gang violence going on and sadly most of the gang activity that goes on is done by juveniles. Being a part of a low income society I see what kind of people are involve in gang activity and many mostly all are under age making them strive for respect with our fearing consequences. Like sated on the LAPD websites the fill us the community in on how early gangs start recruiting juveniles as described on their web site it sates “Gang involvement can begin as early as elementary school. Children as young as seven or eight years of age have been recruited to work in criminal street gangs. Many parents and educators
After many mixtapes and nearing the edge of household name status, Maryland rapper Logic drops his first album. In this album is a song titled Gang Related. This song tells the story of what environment and household he grew up in. His brother is in a gang and sells cocaine to his father in front of him. Logic's mother is in an out of mental institutions, all the while logic is growing up and trying not to get shot when he walks outside. With drugs and gangs all around him, it is quite amazing that he got out and become a famous rapper. Gang Related also has a core message of stopping the violence, which leads to a question, is this song about his story or a message about ending the violence?
In low income areas and large cities, gang violence is a major problem. Gang violence in Chicago is reaching alarming proportions. Day by day they are increasing rapidly. None of the solutions work effectively to eliminate gangs. However police departments and other government officials are trying their best to provide the same security as other areas in chicago. Thousands of innocent people are dying each year from these ill mannered thugs. In today’s societies gang activity is everywhere, whether it includes violence, drugs, death or any illegal activity. There are several aspects which are causing these violent activities. In past years the police department and the mayor designed different strategies to stop this violence. From my perspective better education and scholarships are the only way to reduce gangs and other illegal activities.

For years, gang crime has been loathed by society, as society has perceived it to threaten the well-being of its members. In addition to the fear of gang violence, concerns have been raised of gangs polluting youth; hence, policing strategies have emerged more increasingly in an attempt to put an end to the delinquency. Nevertheless, for society the causation of gang crime has been discussed to a lesser extent; thus, the objective of this essay will be to depict a viable explanation of gang crime through the use of two criminological theories. To accomplish the task at hand; I shall, define gang crime, provide a description of social disorganization theory, illustrate how the application of social disorganization theory provides an explanation of gang crime, describe differential opportunity theory, demonstrate how differential opportunity theory can explain gang crime, and exemplify as to which theory provides a superior explanation of gang crime. In the end, it will be clear that social disorganization theory is a superior explanation of gang crime in comparison to differential opportunity theory, due to its ability to deliver a more enhanced explanation than the one that is provided by differential opportunity theory.
I have observed that individuals and communities, and institutions think that poverty, gang violence and child abuse is what represent who you are and where you belong. Going through poverty, gang violence and child abuse would lead individuals in the wrong direction in life. When an individual or a communities see a gang member or someone they don’t care about that person because they say once you’re in the hole it hard to come back out. I just think it wrong for individuals and communities to judge people the way they do. People are the way they for a reason. Everybody has a kind heart. They made not seem like they do but they do. Their mostly likely that because there not given love or support. Like in the story said they in need of attention.
The neighborhood is a basically a graveyard of American dreams. Like everyone else in America, Smiley values individualism, achievement, money, and family unity highly. However he is in a hostile society where his rough background is rejected and regarded as a stigma. He does not have education or an escape from his neighborhood where people are under a great strain. The reason

Sociological views have been changed dramatically in the past 40 years due to gender and racial studies. Also, women have started to join gangs since America has been changed with woman equality laws passing.
She spends a lot of time with Will. So she has seen much of Blaze, since the incident at the store. Ronnie is still battling with her dad about how she honestly didn’t steal those bracelets, but the store owner pursues to press charges. Ronnie also starts to actually talk to her dad, and asks him why he didn’t stay with the family. Why this place to live instead of closer, and just tries to actually get to know him. He tells her that this is the place he grew up in with his parents, and the old church down the road burnt down with him in it which is why he is remaking a window with Jonah for it. She gets to know Will a little bit more too, how his parents are, and a huge house they live in. Gets to know will a little better on the inside and actually changes her perception on him. He had a brother that he lost in a car accident a couple of years ago, and a sister that is getting married in a couple of weeks that he invites Ronnie too. When looking for a dress she passes Blaze fighting with her boyfriend still and gives her cash to get on her feet and leave him, which she turns down so Ronnie leaves it there for her when she wants it. When Ronnie gets to the wedding she sees Blaze working and congratulates her. They get back to Ronnie’s house and finds out that all this time that her dad has been blamed for the fire of the church, it was really Will and his
