The Crusades was a battle between two religions, Christians and Muslims, during the eleventh century and went inside of the thirteenth century. A complex question that is trying to be determined is was the impact the crusades more positive or more negative.Through all of the problems the crusades caused such as destroying churches along with splitting them apart from one another and causing a hatred relationship between both religions the crusades were truly a unfavorable period of time. Document 5 states that “First, the long struggle between Islam and Christendom and the example of persecution set by Christians kings and prelates (bishops) left an inheritance of deep bitterness; relations between Muslims and their Christian and Jewish subjects worsened.” This is interesting because it shows that the Crusades caused a relationship of deep bitterness with each other as it stated inside the article. Document 10 stated “One day I entered the mosque, repeated the first formula, Allah is great, and eastward saying, This it the way you should pray!” This is important because the Crusades are still affecting or having a cause on current times. They created such a hatred relationship for as of now religious people still disapprove of others who don't follow the same religion that is most appropriate for them.
