She was a sensitive young woman who felt misunderstood by the people around her even though she lived a rich social life. From her writings while in the Annexe, her vitality and optimism despite the dangers she and her family faced as Jews in Europe, vrave for knowledge and overall charisma were displayed. She also seems to have an attractive appearance, as she writes that when she was younger, she had multiple boyfriends and was an attraction among many of her male classmates. However, many of her traits were altered while her diary continued. At first, Anne was an average young girl; she liked boys, tried to distance herself from her parents, and was jealous of her sister’s kwoledge. Anne started to develop a more mature way of thinking. She was able to see her family in a much more clear light; she became more grateful for what her parents did for her, and became more patient, thoughtful, and logical as to how to act in each situation. In her final passage, matters took a turn for the worst, as she believes that everyone turned against her, used her to vent her frustrations, and that nobody understood

A few pages into Anne’s journal Anne states, “It’s an odd idea for someone like me to keep a diary; not only because I have never done so before, but because it seems to me that neither I-nor for that matter anyone else-will be interested in the unbosomings of a thirteen-year-old schoolgirl. Anne Frank makes me feel useless because she was going through a horrible situation that lead her to her death and I'm over here in “the land of the free” still feeling like I need more and want more. Her writing made me feel like if I was in that attic looking out the window to something I would never be able to go back to, which is my life. She was a new writer who was so confident and aggressive around others but she thought she was weak and uncertain of who she really is and how she felt. The relationship between her and Peter was complicated which I loved because she hated him at first then, started developing feelings for him except her sister also liked him so it was like a love triangle. Another thing is that in the Anne admits to being spoiled and selfish but she admits that being in the annex has changed her and I truly believe she has.
What if Anne Frank’s sister, Margot, lived and made the journey to begin a new life in The United States? Furthermore, delving deeper into speculation, Anne Frank mentioned her older sister also kept a diary, what would we learn from Margot’s perspective if her diary surfaced?
