Thank you for trusting in us to lead Anthea House this year. It is remarkable what a little faith can do! It’s been a wonderful journey to be able to be part of a team, from my wonderings around whether it will work or not, and despite of them having the intuitive feeling that Jessica and Gabriel where the ones, that I wanted to live, work and grow up with into this new opportunity (Grace comes later as the cherry top!) to working hard on refurnishing and bringing new energies into the house and figuring out responsibilities and rhythms. We have gone through big waves to help all of us to discover the special gifts that each of us bring to the house with all our weakness and strengths, trials and errors, and flying temperaments, oh boy!
Everyday a different crime is committed; however, the reason or motive behind it is not always understood. Over the years, theories were developed to explain why certain crime occurs. For example, Andrea Yates was a mother of 5 who drowned her children due to a mental illness she endured, but there are many theories that play a vital role in explaining why she committed this crime. The theories that will be discussed throughout this paper are the Biosocial Trait Theory and the General Strain Theory.

The mistakes that were made were unforgivable, but a lesson learned from DHHS.
This may sound like I’m trying to earn points with my boss, but it’s really true. Trish Cox has had a great impact on me as a leader. As most of you know, I followed her here to Anthem after 19 years at Schwab. She was the primary reason for me making this change. But I also worked directly for her in two different roles while at Schwab. I truly appreciate Trish’s leadership style and her open and transparent approach. She has taught me that we are all people first and also while things can be mission critical, we can work together to address them in a calm and thoughtful manner, without running around with our hair on
