I would have to side with the employees that are against having dogs in the workplace. I beleive that dogs can pose a serious threat to people who are unfamiliar or afraid of dogs alongside those people who are allergic to them as well. although research shows that dogs can cause well-being and a feel of less stress and anxiety among those who favor them, dog's in my opinion can spread bacteria and lead to unsanitary conditions. I consider people that are not dog people deserve to be in a environment that is comfortable to them. I agree that employers should take into consideration the liabilities for the damages to the workplace and potential lawsuits that could be a result of allowing dogs in the workplace. I see that the companys intent
Dogs, in my opinion, make very wonderful pets. Allowing a dog into a workplace makes sense in some ways, but I would definetly not support it. People who support the idea claim they would feel more relaxed, have less stress, and be more
In the 1670s, dissent from small farmers and frontiersmen marred the leadership of William Berkeley. Reasons, such as restrictions on the right to vote, high taxes, low tobacco prices, aristocratic leadership, and inadequate security against Native American attacks caused the dissent. Nathanial Bacon, a relative of William Berkeley, relocated from England in 1673 and became part of the administration in Virginia. Over time, the two disagreed on the issue of Indians (Rice, 2012). It was at this point that emigrants of English descent were conquering land through force.
The theme in T.C. Boyle’s “Greasy Lake” is demonstrated when the narrator and his friends learn a potentially deadly lesson through a series of accidents, caused as a result of their reckless pursuit to be bad. The nature of life reveals to them that striving to be bad in order to be viewed as hip or cool can often result in dark accidents, with catastrophic consequences. In the beginning of the story, three adolescent boys believe themselves to be “dangerous characters” (Boyle, 131) and that “it was good to be bad, when you cultivated decadence like a taste” (130). However, they learn painful lessons during summer vacation that
There are many views on whether or not servicemen and women should be able to keep the dogs that they trained after their time in the army is up. In my opinion, dogs should be kept after service is over. Even though these dogs really belong to the Marines, their handlers should have a say in what happens to the dog. If the handlers are hurt during war, the dogs could be sent to another serviceman or woman. This needs to change very soon.
Police and prosecutors have generally argued in court cases that the use of a drug-sniffing dog is not a “search” at all, because the only thing that a dog’s “alert” identifies is something that is illegal anyway, and no one has any privacy right in illegal items or substances. The Supreme Court has sometimes embraced that argument. A court can accept an “alert” as a basis for a search only if the evidence shows how the dog was trained, what was done to satisfy an expert that the dog was adequately trained, how the dog had performed in “alerting” to drugs in other situations, and how well trained and how experienced was the dog’s police
The use of animals in our generation is an incredibly large reason that our society is as advanced as it is. Without using them the way we are, police would not be able to confiscate illegal drugs or have the ability to sniff of bombs and save lives. Many people would be lost to medical mysteries without the help of lab rats, and people who suffer from mental illnesses would never find relief in the comfort of a support animal.
Dogs are like part of the family. Would you want to leave one of your family members at home while you went, and enjoyed yourself at the park with the rest of your family. I bet you would'nt! So why do people want to exclude dogs from going to the park?
Have you ever thought about which is a better pet, the lazy feline or the energetic canine? Some people like cats better, but some prefer dogs. I believe that cats are better than dogs. I think this because cats are easier to care for than dogs and are quieter.
I personally believe that dog parks are a benefit to not only the dogs but the owners as well. Having a dog can be really stressful. We as humans have jobs, families, friends, and other things that take away from our pets. Having dog parks creatates a place where our dogs can go and run around while we sit on the bench watching them and doing our work. This is a huge benefit because we are not neglecting them, they get the social interaction that the passage "A Dog Park Benefits All," talks about in paragragh 2, "Socializing is important too. If a dog doesnt learn to get along with other dogs, it may attack a strange dog or a person," in this sentence to me that says that having a dog park can keep dogs from attacking other dogs and they will
Dogs do everything in packs; they rely on other pack members to keep them out of danger and safe. To make sure that they have a strong foundation and pack leadership is kind of like marriage. You have to have a strong commitment to someone to be willing to risk your own life for. Dogs look for companionship in each other just like they do in marriage. With good companionship you will be able to start your own family and be happy. Dogs will physically show their emotions such as when they’re happy they wag their tail, to alert you they bark, and when they’re sad or hurt they will whimper. In marriage showing and telling how you feel is key to happiness. You don’t want to try to hide your emotions from your partner because it will only cause
Deciding whether or not I should agree with dogs being allowed in our work place was very tricky for me. I appreciate your desire to make sure every employee feels comfortable and stress-free at work. Also, I adore dogs and would love to able to have my furry-friend alongside me all day long. However, after looking at the pro's and con's, I'd have to say I do not agree with this idea.
Dogs to Work" says ,"If we could pet or play with our dogs during the course of the workday, we would probably feel better and show up to work more often." Although this may be true there are more reasons for it to be false. Bringing your dog to work would distract other employees from working,
One of the most debated arguments to this day would have to be that cats are better than dogs. Did you know that more people own cats than dogs? In the US, 95.6 Million people own cats compared to the 83.3 million who own dogs. This speech will state why cats are smarter, cleaner, easier to look after and are also beneficial for your health, such as lowering your blood pressure and lowering your cholesterol.
Dogs are great, loving, kind animals. On the other hand dogs can also cause a lot of issues and sometimes you can run across a dog that is not well behaved. By allowing employees to bring their dogs to work, could potentially cause a whole new set of issues for a company. When you're trying to run a buisness, why would you want to cause un-nessasary problems in the work place?
Pet owners want to protect their dogs and give them the best care possible. Getting a dog groomed regularly is important, so they live a long, happy and healthy life. People can't assume that if they love dogs, then they can be a groomer. A professional groomer needs to have a strong passion for grooming and a lot of patients. Recently, I stopped taking my dog, Dakota to his former groomer because it seemed like she was losing interest in grooming dogs. After extensive research, I discovered “Grooming by Heather,” a dog grooming business owned by Heather Harris. I read over fifty positive reviews, and many people mentioned how her prices are reasonable, she is talented, caring, patient, and dedicated.
