Being a descendant of a veteran makes me proud of my family and its history and hardwork and dedication. Makes me proud of my country and where I come from. Helps me have a better appreciation for those who fight for our country. Makes me thankful that they give up so much like being with their family, sleep and being able to come home and take days off of work, so that I can sleep at night peacefully in my bed without having to worry about what is going on outside my house. It means putting trust in my country and everything that it stands for. It means saying that Pledge Allegiance with meaning and understanding on the words that I am saying. Veterans are american heroes because they protect our rights.The reason why veterans protect our right is so we can have a better future.Veterans are also american heroes because they fought in many battles and they put their life’s in DANGER!The reason why veterans are american heroes is veterans want freedom because people should have the right to do what they want to do but, by the law.

Veterans day is one of the greatest holidays of the year. This is the holiday that honors all the brave soldiers who have fallen too give us our freedom. There are many veterans alive and dead who have served our country. There are two veterans that come to mind every time this holiday comes around. Those two veterans are my great grandfather and my grandfather.

What makes veterans so special? For one, it takes a lot of courage to go into the war, and to go out there with the bombs and shootings. Their also special because, they protect our country. Also, they honor our country. Veterans are brave, loyal, strong, never giving up, smart, and heros. They are loyal because they stood by their family, friends, and their country.

Why do we honor veterans in America? The veterans of America need to be honored due to them risking their lives for many others. They also have to give up their time with family and friends. They have to deal with the many deaths either from their side of the battlefield or the other. Now with them doing these thing we are able to live without fear in the world. Also veterans must know that their lives would never be the same ever again. That is due to the war doing things to their brains causing them to act differently than normal.

When people think of veterans, a word that might come to their mind would be hero. Soldiers leave their homes, families, and friends to fight for our country and the freedom we believe in so strongly. If a brother, cousin, uncle, or friend gets killed during a battle, veterans keep going. They need to wait until a later time to grieve, cry, and mourn their lost companions. Soldiers endure loss, blistering cold, scorching heat, trench foot, and more. This is what makes up a true hero.

Something that I am proud of as an American citizen of the United States is that there are 9.2 million veterans that are over the age of 65. It means alot to me that so many people want to fight for all of our freedom, 1.9 million veterans are under the age of 35, and 1.8 million veterans are women. Vietnam was my favorite war to learn about , 7.8 million veterans served

Our veterans are extremely courageous, they sacrifice themselves and their lives because they know how many people they’d be protecting and helping. They knew the risks of their living, but they did it anyway for their loved ones, for all of America, and for honor. Veterans are all heroes and all are thanked by the people of America on this special day. These wonderful people all have undying determination, they always accept their responsibility with integrity. These heroes ambitiously fought with compassion, eager to protect America.

Veteran’s Day is about celebrating the sacrifices and achievements men and women made for our country. The Veterans in the war made extremely difficult sacrifices, but they did it for us. Our Veterans put themselves in harm’s way so their families and their home country

The people working for the U.S. Military inspire me the greatest. They devote their lives to protecting the citizens while, at the same time, promoting peace and democracy through the world. They are the real heroes since they put their lives on the line. We can safely stay in our homes due to the soldiers that dedicate their time and put in their effort in their work. U.S. citizens should truly be grateful for their veterans since they risked their lives to protect ours. The reason we are not attacked by other foreign countries is due to the national defense is determined to make its citizens save while letting them seek out their happiness. When I see a veteran, I wonder what it’d be like if I walked in their shoes, experienced what they have. We all have some braveness in us but not all of us have the strength to listen to bullets just miss our heads. I know that no matter how small, every Veteran has a story and anyone should be happy to listen to it.

First, veterans are really special and kind, to fight for our country. I mean they kind of risked their lives for ours.Sometimes they have to go into war but they also go into war by their choice. Also some of the times they die but we know they died fighting for our country.

When asked to think of veterans, images of historical war heroes are often the first to flash into someone’s mind. So many know the history of Dan Daly, a famous Marine Sergeant who endangered himself to save his wounded comrades and was recommended for the Medal of Honor three separate times. There is Molly Pitcher and Patrick Henry, Ethan Allen and even George Washington. One might even think of more contemporary heroes like Santiago Erevia, Melvin Morris or most recently, USN Seal Edward Byers. All these heroes are famous for being battle hardened generals and masters of the battlefield or commanders on the high seas. It is almost universally agreed upon that these people are

War II Veteran. All veterans deserve our utmost respect for the service they do for our country.

I have spent time around veterans my entire life, whether it was my grandpa Gerald who served in the Air Force for twenty plus years, my dad’s co-workers who served as Navy pilots before becoming commercial pilots, or the caddies I worked with throughout high school. Each veteran I met has a different perspective on his or her time serving our country.
