While Roger was at the VA hospital in Phoenix, an RN case manager came to talk with him. She did an assessment on him that included his medical and social background, so she could make sure that Roger has a safe discharge. Her job is to make sure that when Roger discharges from the hospital, he will have resources in place to help him get better, and to avoid getting so ill that he has to go back into the hospital.
The case manager notices that Roger is not clear about the month and date. She also notices that he forgets what the conversation was about in the middle of a sentence. Roger had a bladder infection, but it has now cleared, so this would be the unlikely cause of his mental status. The case manager decides that it may be a good

The social worker will attempt to find Roger's next of kin based on Arizona's State law. If none can be found, or is willing to take responsibility for Roger, then Charlie may be able to step in. If Charlie is unwilling to take responsibility, then a public fiduciary may be the beneficial route for Roger. Since Roger has VA benefits, he will be assigned an ambulatory case manager, who will work with him out in the community. This case manager also works with social workers that can help with any social barriers. Roger can also be placed in contact with Area Agency on Aging, and assigned a case manager through them. They can assist with Meals on Wheels to go out and deliver food for Roger. They can also assist with having someone to come out and do some basic housework for Roger. Transportation to and from doctors appointments, the pharmacy and shopping will have to be looked at. Roger may need some home health with physical therapy, since he walks with a cane, and suffers from diabetic neuropathy. Grief support groups would be worth looking into, in order to help Roger better cope with the recent loss of his wife.
Roger's income is approximately $2,600 a month, and this income will play a role in the resources that are available to

I presented Esteban’s case during case consultation because I noticed that I had countertransference when doing his intake. My expectation when presenting this case was to receive feedback that would help me to provide effective treatment to Esteban without my countertransference affecting his treatment. This section of the paper will talk about the feedback I received about my countertransference and how to support Esteban.
The objective of this report was to analyze Vivint-Smart Home Solutions’ performance in terms of organisational culture, management and leadership styles and motivation and how organizations have been affected by them. In this report, we identified that Vivint has an association of Hierarchy and Market organisational culture, relationship-oriented and task-oriented leadership styles and servant leadership style. Moreover, it demonstrated that Vivint has intrinsic and extrinsic rewards. These resulted in successful and unsuccessful practices of Vivint based on the Undercover Boss TV series based on three aspects which have been mentioned above. In addition, this report critiqued the Undercover Boss method for discovering the problems within an organisation and recommended other processes for uncovering issues. The results showed that organisational culture, management and leadership styles as well as motivation played significant roles in Vivint’s performance. Recommendations have been made to improve the unsuccessful practices of Vivint such as training managers to be empathic problem solver, examining and updating the working condition regularly, bonus for employees who give feedback voluntarily on management processes and offering fund to employees who are in need of support.

I do not understand how can someone see people be treated the way patients at Willow brook were treated and no do anything about it. Patients at Willow brook were suffering. Seen their families talk about what they went thru made me very sad. I do not blame the parents for taking their sons/daughter to this facility. They did what they thought was right. They probably never imagined that this was going to happen. They took their children there thinking they were going to get help and get the right treatment. Thankfully some of them were taken from their families just in time, before something worst happen. The students and their parents, they were all victims of the inhumane way they were treated at Willow brook.
According to the CMSA (Case Management Society of America) and several others organizations that case management alone means that it is a collective system that helps the patient and their family needs through the communication, available resources of promoted quality, and cost-effective outcomes.
Case management has seen rapid growth and expansion over the past decade, securing it a strong foundation in many hospitals and outpatient programs. The use of integrated case management models allows the populations that are served to continue to grow and expand to reach further vulnerable clients and their families. ICM has been found to not only be successful for individuals diagnosed with HIV, but also prisoners in the justice system, the homeless population, and young children and their families navigating difficult custody issues (U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, 2008). It also enables individuals from multiple disciplines to collaborate when it comes to a client’s care plans and their needs. This allows case managers and
Decisional capacity refers to the patient’s ability to perform a set of cognitive tasks including understanding and processing about diagnosis, prognosis and treatment option; weighing the relative benefits, burdens, risks of therapeutic options; applying a set of values to the analysis; arriving at a decision consistent over time and communicating the decision (Post & Blustein, 2015). Ronald does not meet all the requirements for someone with decisional capacity but this does not mean that he cannot make and specific decisions for himself at a certain time. He has fluctuating decisional capacity but on his best days, he still can dictate his care and the caregiver needs to respect that. Capacity is not global, nor is it constant. The determination of capacity can be problematic because of inconsistencies of time, physical condition at the time it was determined or the individual can manipulate results. Some critics also question pathological mental competence. Ronald, due to his age and clinical condition may demonstrate fluctuating capacity but at a certain degree can still make decisions and has the insight to do so. The caregiver and healthcare professional

A case study is a specific instance that is frequently designed to illustrate a more general principle (Nisbet and Watt, 1984). Hitchock and Hughes (1995) further suggest that the case study approach is particularly valuable when the researcher has little control over evens. Case studies strives to portray ‘what it like’ to be a particular situation, to catch up reality and ‘thick description’ (Geertz, 1973) of participants’ lives experiences of, thoughts about and feelings for a situation. They involve looking at a case or phenomenon in its real-life context, usually employing many types of data (Robson, 2002). It is important in case studies for events and situations to be allowed to speak for themselves, rather than to be largely interpreted, evaluated or judged by the researcher. In this respect the case study is akin to the television documentary. Case studies can make theoretical statements, but, like other forms of research and human sciences, these must be supported by the evidence presented.

In reading the first article Coach Knight: The Will to Win, I found the article found Coach Knight to be very offensive and mean to his players. Coach Knight did not display good leadership skills. According to the article, Coach Knight’s drive and passion for excellence was not always received as well as his record of wins and losses Snook, Per low, Delacey, 2005).
