Introduction
My aim in this assignment:
Is to get you fully understanding about what is robotics , How did it start and why human kind truly needs robotics , learn about the 3 main types of engineering that are used in robotics and there felids and talk about how robotics truly made life easier for human kind and cheaper for companies to produce what they produce on a faster past and on a daily basis
Description
-What is Robotics: robotics is a combination of engineering and science that includes mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer science. Robotics deals with the design construction, operation, and use of robots, as well as computer systems for their control and sensory feedback and information processing. these technologies are used to create machines that can replace humans. Robots can be used in any situation and for any purpose as they have no feeling nor heart, but today many are used in dangerous environments including bomb detection and de-activation and in war fields , manufacturing processes, or where humans life is at risk. Robots can take any shape and look but some are made to look like humans in appearance and movement. This is said to help in the acceptance of a robot in certain behaviors usually performed by people. such robots attempt to

commercial and industrial robots are everywhere today and used to perform jobs more cheaply, more accurately and more reliably, then humans. they aslo employed in some jobs which are too dirty for humans, dangerous for them to be in , or dull to be suitable for humans. robots are mostly used in manufacturing, assembly, packing and packaging , mining , transport, earth and space exploration, surgery, weaponry, laboratory research,
The use of robots and technology in the modern world has exponentially increased, as we gain more and more technology. Throughout human history technology has changed how we work and how we survive, from early cave men developing tools to make a task easier to the modern airliner taking hundreds of people around the world in a matter of hours. History shows that we are always looking for a way to develop, and progress as a society. Technology has advanced with us and is used to help
As a matter of fact, with the gradual development of science and technology, robots have been widely used in people’s work and life. On the one hand, robots have brought a mass of convenience to people.
A lot of people associate themselves with robots. There are instances where people make robots for a living, or program a type of chip or circuit board that are installed in robots. However, the main reason why we know about robots is because of movies. A lot of movies depict robots as being mechanical creatures that somehow upsets the balance of earth and cause mass destruction, or is depicted as serving their masters. We often think about industrial robots. This is mainly because of industrial plants. We think of them as taking over our jobs. For instance, the movie Wall-e depicts an industrial robot picking garbage. Although humanoids aren’t the first robot thought of, no other type
Robots have been useful to humans since the past. They’re made to make human life easier. Since early times people have been dreaming of making robots and different people have made different kinds of robots. Robots has been useful in the past, they’re now useful in present-time, and they’re going to be useful in the future.
The history of military robotics dates back to World War II and the Cold War. During those times of spying, weaponry and strategic attacks, these robots were in the form of Germany’s type of robotics and Russian weaponry called “teletanks”.
As a varsity lacrosse player, president of the robotics club, member of the computer science club, part time worker, volunteer service member, and full time student, are all the making which make me a well rounded student. Through sports, clubs, and service, I have learned the importance of genuine teamwork and the necessary social skills required to work smoothly in groups. Through lacrosse, I have seen and experienced the true moment when and team of 35 kids come together as one, beat the odds, and make it to the state championship game. In robotics club, the moment when written code works flawlessly, or when a group of people efficiently feed a group of 150 people in under ten minutes. As an engineer, working in teams is a necessary yet
In this session, the students will learn how robots are designed and constructed. In addition, the students will learn how robots operate to perform various tasks that simplify the lives of humans.
Looking back in early 80’s, no one thought that world will reshape as it has reshaped. The significant pillar in reshaping the world has been introduction of technology in almost every sector starting from pharmaceuticals to retail stores. There is a reason to call this time as modern time and that reason is technology. Technology has advanced to this extent that robotics are now involved in almost every sector. A small and simple example of robotics can be taken of the electronic shutter installed in a store or shop. The industry of robotics has turned in to billion dollar industry. Industries such as automobile, telecommunication, power generation and steel manufacturing have extensive usage of robotics in production. Japan is among the pioneers
Imagine if you would not need to help Mom and Dad, carrying stuff for them or cleaning up after them! You can have a robot help you with your daily activities such as cleaning your room, washing your car, and even wiping for you once you are done using the bathroom. A robot is a machine designed to complete or carry out multiple tasks when programmed to do so. Robots play a huge role in discovery, such as Mars Curiosity Rover, that is used to observe Mar’s surface and environment. We have used Robots to study the moons surface to see what it is like and to learn more about space. We use robots today in military by using them to disarm bombs and find enemy locations. Robots will have a positive impact on our future, because robots will help us to discover more in the ocean and space, help us save lives, and aid in the military.
The three laws, Law I: A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm. Law II: A robot must obey orders given by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law. Law III: A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Laws. This is the very essence of I, Robot (2004) by Alex Proyas a world created to co-exist with robots. Man-made robots which signifies the result of a creative and innovative fast paced world full of greed and consumption. What appears as utopia is really a dystopia and not unlike the world we live in today. Just because something is attractive doesn’t mean that there isn’t something unattractive
In today’s world of rapidly advancing smartphones, gadgets and electronics, there is a further advancement in the field of Robotics. The Robots which earlier seemed to amuse people in the earlier decades of the 90’s have provide far more promising than what they seemed. Ancient Greek mathematicians and scientists predicted the existence of automated artificial robots in near future that would be able to handle various tasks. The term "robot" was first used in a play called "R.U.R." or "Rossum 's Universal Robots" by the Czech writer Karel Capek in 1921. Later, in 1942, Science fiction writer Isaac Asimov first used the word "robotics" to describe the technology of robots and predicted the rise of a powerful robot industry. He gave the three most important laws of Robotics. The upcoming years brought great wonders in the form of various robots like SCARA, CANADARM, MARS ROVER, & ASIMO. Various countries came up with their own Robots, each one of which was special in its own way. The applications of robots were limited to specific fields, which is now greatly diversified. It ranges from Pick and Place applications, Agricultural, Medical and Industrial Automation, Military missions, Space Research and multipurpose applications like humanoid robots. The Robots back then were limited to some particular purpose, but due to major changes in
A robot is a programmable machine that can perform different tasks without direct human assistance and without redesigning the machine itself. Think of having a washing machine that you can change into a car simply by downloading a new app. Sort of like having the ultimate transformer.
If you think robots are the kind of thing you hear about in science-fiction movies, think again. Right now, all over the world, robots are performing thousands of tasks. They are probing our solar system for signs of life, building cars at the General Motors plants, assembling Oreo cookies for Nabisco and defusing bombs for the SWAT team. As they grow tougher, more mobile, and more intelligent, today’s robots are doing more and more of the things that humans can’t or don’t want to do and in many cases taking away the need for human labor.
Introduction: For years robotic technology has depicted fictional humanoid robots in movies and television, consequently peaking our imagination of artificial life forms. No longer are humanoid robots fiction, but reality as roboticists have been developing them not only with an appearance based on a human body but with humanlike sensory and movements. Moreover, humanoid robots are performing human tasks from industrial to service jobs and can survive in any kind of environment. The advancement of robotic research involves the fields of science, cognitive science, programming and engineering (Cheng). Some people consider humanoid robots a threatening force because they feel they are not safe, they will take over our jobs, or are uncomfortable with their
In the present day, innovation in technology is very large. Human want to discover more and more advantages from technology. In fact, we can see how it grew in nowadays. A lot of companies have been spending their finances to invest in smarter technology. They know that if they don’t make the new things, they will be left behind. Robot is one of the best method that many companies want to invest on, and their purpose is replacing human at some fields, which can be dangerous. It is not easy to adapt robots into our life because it directly affects the labor work. Unemployed rate is still high and many government avoid using robotics in most working fields. This research is about the usage of robots in healthcare and business. For this report, the two articles that will be deeply discussed are “Are we ready for virtual physicians?” by Julie Connelly. and “Robots invade small businesses” by Kimberly J. Studer & Mark D. Dibner.
