In common with other communication professions, there are different areas of specialism within internal communications: channel management, speech-writing, change communications, HR communications, project communications, event management, social media, intranets, etc.
Key Principles to Effective Internal Organizational Communications
1. Unless management comprehends and fully supports the premise that organizations must have high degrees of communications (like people needing lots of water), the organization will remain stilted. Too often, management learns the need for communication by having to respond to the lack of it.
2. Effective internal communications start with effective skills in communications, including basic skills in listening, speaking, questioning and sharing feedback (see Communications Skills.
These can developed with some concerted review and practice. Perhaps the most important outcome from these skills is conveying that you value hearing from others and their hearing from you.
3. Sound meeting management skills go a long way toward ensuring effective communications, too. (Guidelines for Effective Meeting Management.)
4. A key ingredient to developing effective communications in any organization is each person taking responsibility to assert when they don't understand a communication or to suggest when and how someone could communicate more effectively.

It is not possible for an organization to operate without any communication between various levels, departments and employees.
The ability to communicate is one of the key factors to have a successful business. You could offer an excellent product or service, but if you’re unable to promote your services and communicate effectively with clients and co-workers the potential for growth is limited. Ms. Geis feels that the communication skills that one must possess in order to make advancements in management are that one must be an effective communicator, know the work environment, and the people you work with.
“Effective communication occurs only if the receiver understands the exact information or idea that the sender intended to transmit. Many of the problems that occur in an organization are: the direct result of people failing to communicate and processes that leads to confusion and can cause good plans to fail” (Clark, 2015).
Effective communication also must occur in a broader sense, flowing down, across and up the organization. All personnel must receive a clear message from top management that control responsibilities must be taken seriously. They must understand their own role in the internal control system, as well as how individual activities relate to the work of others. They must have a means of communicating significant information upstream. There also needs to be effective communication with external parties, such as customers, suppliers, regulators and shareholders.
Being an excellent listener is one of the best ways to become a good communicator. Throughout the group work, the author demonstrated great communication skills when listening to her team’s different ideas and then taking them on board to create the best results. Fellow team members will appreciate good listening skills, and so in return, it will have a positive impact to the group’s mood, and encouraging them to be confident to speak up and say their thoughts as they know their ideas are being listened too.

Communication proficiencies are vital for each and every one in any professional organization, specifically for leaders and owners. Some individuals are purely talented in interpersonal skills, although those who aren't can learn and practice effective communication
Communication is the conveyance and flow of ideas from one person to another. The exchange of information takes place through letters, words, symbols and nonverbal behaviors. It involves the transmission of ideas from the sender to the receiver. Communication is effective only if the receiver fully understands the transmitted information. Many problems and failures occur in organizations due to poor communication. Objective and goals fail due to misunderstandings in the organization. Effective communication provides a chain of understanding to all participants in the organizational framework. It promotes the flow of information both vertically and horizontally.
I am going to discuss what the vision, mission and value statements are and how they are important to our business. Each statement has different qualities which I will discuss in my presentation. The future of our business and the Vision of who we are goes with our philosophy and ideals of who we want to be.
For me personal , my self-assess of interpersonal communication skills are very effective. I will sit back and listen to what people have to tell me and then give my thoughts on what should be done or what can't be done. I will also work with people to get a better understanding of a situation when it arises.
