It was the night that I went to see and support my friend’s middle school band performance. I remember watching and hearing the sounds of certain instruments and being instantly drawn to them. At the very moment I knew that music was something I wanted to learn and study all through life. There was something beautiful about the way each individual instrument sounded, and the abilities that each musician had to make their instruments sound a certain way. The next year I signed up for my school’s band classes and began to learn and study about music and music theory. The one thing about music though that really captures my interest is the fact that it can provoke and produce so many emotions in someone. As someone who has a rather hard time expressing themselves, music was something I could turn to in order to understand and better …show more content…
When I began studying Jazz, one orchestra that I particular had a liking towards was Lincoln Center Orchestra. Listening to them play and knowing that I wanted to one day create music like they did. Since I was learning jazz for trumpet many times I would also listen for Wynton Marsalis, someone who I could only dream of playing like. My favorite and most inspiring performance had to be “Take Five”, each section sounded amazing and were able to tell a story. Or how in other performances sometimes two musicians would solo together, and it would appear as if they were having a conversation without any words. I would often watch how relaxed and poised they were and try to copy that demeanor when having to give solos in front of the class. Also by watching professionals perform, I could see the true difference between me and them, and how much work I needed to put into my playing to maybe one day move my fingers and rearrange my embouchure in order to play like them with such
There are many things in the world that inspires people, for some it is a person, for others it is a thing, an idea. However, there is one thing in this world that truly broadens our horizons. Music, with its varying nature and universal appeal, it is indeed a blanket of inspiration and what provides me with inspiration throughout my life.
I believe in music because its one way to helps you connect with your emotions. Its also a form of art. Its a way to express your feelings. The type of music someone listens to can say a lot about the person. To many it inspires or motivates them. Music helps some people connect to one another. Music to me means all these things.
Music is a key factor in my life, now and has been for as long as I remember. Music is one thing that can control my mood and emotions unlike any other. The sounds and melodies of the composition have the potential to sway my moods from a dark gloomy state all the way to a joyous and soothing harmonic atmosphere. Music allows me to control how and what I want to be, or represent. Music is almost like picking out a favorite outfit. When one picks out an outfit to wear they most likely pick an outfit that expresses them and how they are feeling at that direct moment. They have the ability to change shoes, accessories, or their hairstyle to make it
This is a huge component for me. Music allows me to express myself. When I want to get pumped up and have lots of energy during my workout I’ll turn on rock and roll music real loud to get that extra burst of energy. I like to listen to music when I am down on myself. When I want to forget about all the stress in life and just have a great time I turn to music. Music can put me in a way better mood after a terrible day or a long day at school or work. People like music to remind them of events , especially the happiest times in life. Music can take you back to a time in your life and reminds you that everything comes to an end. Music has showed me that there are stages in your life and I can’t dread on the past, I just keep going and living life to the
Music is that one friend that will always be there and will never judge us. It changes and has a huge
Music is another language people use whenever they want to express their feelings. Whether they are angry or passionate, there is always a melody for that emotion. It is universal and it brings people together. There are so many amazing artists that have a substantial influence on this generation and past generations.
Music is an integral part of who I am. To say that I am interested in music would be an understatement, as I am constantly growing in my passion and talent for music.
Music is my life when I was little my dad introduced me to all types of music. We listen to hip-hop, reggae, old school, country, and jazz. We believe that as long as it has a good beat and a message that what makes that a great song.Being that my dad is from New Jersey I have this Northern flavor to my lifestyle. It is truly present in my taste in music. Many people say that I'm a little weird when they listen to the type of music I listen too.
Music is a hands-on and emotional rollercoaster of opportunities to express moments in our lives that need to be felt. We drive about in our cars and we hear tunes of the season, played away on our radios. We have CDs and cassette tapes filled with memorabilia, back when the music was "good," as the parents may recall. Music is never-ending, and that is what I believe is the most valuable factor of it all. It doesn't matter if you can sing an Italian opera, hum in the shower, or attempt to play the recorder without sounding like a fool. What matters is that music continuously aids those in society, no matter how small the impact, or optimal stress release. (And to be blatant, I haven't met a soul who dislikes a melody of some kind or another.)
Along the same lines, music feels just as humans do. It breathes life every second and feels emotions at every drop. I am driven to music because of the passion it fills me with. Music, with every new song I find, seems
Music is defined differently for each individual. It is the universal language that speaks to us all, but in different ways. It is one of the few genres that can instantly transport a person back to the past. Music is also an art of sound which expresses ideas, thoughts, and emotions in significant forms through the elements of rhythm, melody, and harmony. It is the design of giving structural form and rhythmic pattern to combinations of sounds produce instrumentally and vocally. To me, music brings a sense of calmness, happiness, and peacefulness. Music is the absolute bread of life because it feeds my soul.
Music was the backdrop to day-to-day activities in my childhood. Serene melodies emanated from the living room stereo in the early mornings and while preparing and enjoying family meals. I believe I first learned to rely on music for
Music has always been part of who I am,I guess. I grew up on first wave punk(Thanks Dad!) and country music. I went to my first concert when I was eight years old and sang along to every word with Toby Keith. There is nothing better in life than the feeling you get when you're in the front row seeing your favorite band, you can feel the kick drum pounding away against your heart and for a second you're pretty sure your heart beat has changed to the rythm of the song. The feeling you get when you're surrounded by people that just get it. They get why you love this band so much and it feels like a giant family. Music has literally allowed me
Music, it's a part of everyone's life. From childhood sing-a-long songs, to garage grunge music, and everything in between music is everywhere. Growing up with an extremely musical background it was in my genes that I would become a musician. Playing music has helped me become the person I am by being a release for my anger, broadening my future and make new friends..
Art triggers multiple emotions in people, however Music is the strongest art piece; this happens because everyone is capable and allowed to listen to the true emotions that the artist wants the listeners to hear. With physical art many people cannot see what others see, and by that occurring not everyone can experience the same feeling the artist would like them too.
