In the movie batman, there is a character name the joker. The joker is suffering from a PD name antisocial disorder, which is also called (sociopathy). According to mayo clinic, “Antisocial personality disorder, sometimes called sociopathy, is a mental condition in which a person consistently shows no regard for right and wrong and ignores the rights and feelings of others. People with antisocial personality disorder tend to antagonize, manipulate or treat others harshly or with callous indifference. They show no guilt or remorse for their behavior (Staff, 2017). Such as, getting out of work, having enough money to pay bills or satisfy their wants and being able to get a pass on things that others cannot. I believe that PD can be developed from childhood traumas, bullying and genetics. While I know that it a controversial statement itself, those are my beliefs and I feel that children whose parents who had suffered from a PD, may end up inheriting it later on in their lives as well. With assumptions, clinicians and researchers are looking at men and women from societal stereotypic stand points, thus making it easier to misdiagnose. According to Mental Health Foundation “It is difficult to find a comprehensive definition for these conditions, which include Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) and Anti-Social Personality Disorder (ASPD), as the concept of personality and self are difficult to define. Because of this difficulty, PD can often go unrecognised and undiagnosed for a long time. These conditions are however common conditions in our society and around 1 in 20 people in Britain have a PD” (Foundation, 2017). It is also made difficult for clinicians to diagnose clients, because of all the processes it takes and the funds that is needed, in addition the uncertainty of the client who may not have the disorder to begin
