To become a welder, there are certain job tasks, special skills and talents as well as a higher education that is needed. For example the job tasks are to operate safely with safe work habits. Also you have to know the welding components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions. You have to Recognize, set up, and operate hand and power tools common to welding trade. You need to have knowledge for becoming a welder and some of that is design, knowledge of design techniques. Also you need to know mathematics, knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, and geometry. Now the education you need to be a welder is u need to have a high school diploma. You also need to pass a base welding test, you need to graduate from a tech school in welding. Forty One percent of people have a post secondary certificate awarded for training complete after high school. Forty percent have high school diploma, therteen percent have some college- no degree. You need to lean to heat and shape metal and need a associate of science in welding. You can also work up to forty hours a week. Some education vary by employer. …show more content…

First high school classes are a must. When I get into high school the classes that I am going to have have to take to become a welder is Metals class in high school. Also i am going to have to take some math classes. I am going to have to graduate high school and have a high school diploma. After that I will have to go to some kind of college like NTC or mid state tech college.
