Welding is a high paying job no matter what you are welding. it is also a hard working job there is a lot you have to do before you can lay that bead.

In the world of welding, there are many work places to choose from as a welder. Welding is a good career to choose for many reasons, but it is not an easy career path. As a welder, you can constantly find work because more than 50% of U.S. products require welding. These items consist of cars, bridges, ships, oil rigs, pipes, and many more. Today many good welders continue to be needed for a vast variety of jobs and duties all across the country. The role of a welder is critically important to our way of living in so many ways.

Pipeline welding is a job that consists of welders joining industrial sized pipes to each other in order for them to transport gasses, oil, and many other various substances across the country. The pieces of pipe are joined by electrically fusing molten metal to make the two pieces one. These pipes can stretch for thousands of miles and can be found all around the world. This job may overlooked in today’s time, but it is a very important feature that keeps this country running.

Becoming a pipefitter or going to the air force are both amazing careers and both will pay off big time in the end. Both careers have great benefits, vacation, retirement packages, and insurance policies. They both make great money. Either career would be a great career choice. Whichever one I choose I will be set. Both require skills that will take a lot of practice and a lot of time. Either career will pay off.

Welding is a very meticulous career, to be a welder you have to be focused, careful and you have to have an extensive knowledge of the field to be successful. Welding requires a variety of skill sets. If a person has a variety of skills and experience doors will open up for positions such as: shipbuilding, automotive repair, and construction.

Welders help make or repair, automotive, buildings, and air-crafts. In addition, Welders must support any assignment they are placed in. Welders basically work with anything with metallic properties. If you want to be a welder, and actually have a career, you can go to a welding school and learn how to weld, or you can try to be a welders helper and just learn the trade. GMAW (Gas Metal Arc Welding) is more economic; Springer reports that “ GMAW is an economic process because it has higher speeds and higher deposition rates than manual arc welding. There is also no need to constantly change electrodes” ( Page 11). GMAW has a higher speed, which means that you can get the job done faster. It also has high deposition rates which makes the weld look clean and smooth.” This method can be used for a high range of work, but it is not suited for repair work because of it’s weld quality” (Page 4). This process can be used for many variations of work including root welds, joints, T’s, butts, laps, and many more applications. Welding is a great career choice for a person not wanting to go to college. There are all different types of welding careers to explore, and a person can choose the one he would most enjoy. The wages of a welder are better than most technical jobs. When you go to welding school you can start working a lot faster than any other career. Trained welders seldom have trouble finding gainful employment.

Just have a back-up profession like welding.” I have chosen the field of welding, because I meet some of the characteristics that welders have, and my biggest influence, Ms. Bosma, told me that it would be a good profession to get into.

There is even a type of welding for high pressure fuel lines that have broken and are spraying fuel, it involves bathing the area of weld in nitrogen.

My profession I want to go into after graduation is pipe line welding. I just love to weld I could it all day long. Seeing that rod burn is just the coolest thing ever. I would like to weld in Alaska because that is where the money is at. It stays cold there really all year long and welding is a hot job because your are melting rods. A welders life is a tough life because your always gone from your family.
