Jeremiah 29:11 says: For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. This quote says to me that God already knows what is going to happen in our lives. We should strive to remain positive and be our best while on the roller coaster he has built for us. In order to be our best, we must lead through being a good moral example, being dependable, and remaining unique as we shine in the community. Everyone was put on this Earth for a special purpose. By being true to ourselves and God, we will discover his purpose for our lives. We should be leaders in the community by being good role models, someone that can always be watched as an example for how to handle …show more content…
A person trying to be their best will always be someone others can depend on. We depend on people for a lot of things. Whether it be feeding our dog when we are away or trusting them with our lives, we want to know that they will come through for us. People shouldn’t have to repeatedly remind us to fulfill obligations. We should be the kind of person people never have to doubt and can have confidence that we will do what we are supposed to even if it means going out of our way to do it. Dependability is another trait that will allow people to see the best in you. Part of being your best self means remaining genuine and not being easily influenced. It is hard to be ourselves sometimes when dealing with the peer pressures in our lives, but that's one of the things that comes with living in this day and age. We see and hear so much in today’s society that tries to control the way we look, act, and sometimes even think. We get so many messages from the media and people we see everyday that persuade us to act a certain way or wear certain things. We might buy a dress for the prom that we don't really like, but that's what the A-list girls in Hollywood are wearing. We play music we might not like when a popular friend is in our car. Although it is sometimes hard, we should always try to be unique and original and not focus on who society wants us to be. I know that being your best self is more easily said than done,
The Bible tells us that man was newborns, children, and adults are all here by the grace of God. Yes, as humans we add meaning and purpose to our life. However, our main purpose from day one is to worship him. (126)
The main focus of Breen's essay the focus is on the fact that colonists in Virginia were driven and motivated to come to the New World, predominantly for monetary reasons. Virginia's soil was found to be unusually well suited for growing tobacco, which is why it drove such a variety of people to migrate there. The colonists, though said to be religious, were extremely individualistic, selfish, as well as primarily drawn in by the economic opportunity in
How many times have you contemplated your purpose? Whether it be in life, in school, or in the universe as a whole. Human beings roam this planet in search of their meaning in life. They go on wild soul-searching adventures, take time off to rediscover themselves, or try to make a change in the world in hopes of finding their lives purpose. In chapter six of Daniel H. Pinks non-fiction book; “Drive: The Surprising Truth About What Motivates Us,” Pink discusses how people who do something in the service of some greater objective can achieve more in life than those who don't.
Every person on this earth has a great purpose they are going to fulfill throughout their life. I believe my purpose here is to serve God for what he is calling me for. It took a while to know that he was calling to me to become a nurse, and every day that goes by
What are we here for? We are here to gain prestige and achieve as much as we can to prove to others and ourselves that we are fulfilling our potential.
It's a fundamental belief of mine that each one of us is brought upon this world with a major definite purpose in life. Everyone has a unique destiny for contributing to this world using their unique blend of talents and passions. I have no doubt that most people today work hard and stay busy with daily activities. The problem I've noticed is that many people live their lives without any sense of meaningful purpose that gives their lives passion and significance. They get caught up in the daily mechanical routines of life and they become creatures of habit rather than purpose-driven beings. Finding and shaping your major definite purpose is perhaps the most important thing that you will ever do in your life because your purpose is the driving force that spawns all the achievements that you will ever accomplish and it provides that unlimited source of motivation that drives you to achieve all the goals that you set for yourself and enables you to live life to the fullest.
In Christianity, the purpose of this life is to better your relationship with God and to know Him better. This is also proven in Job 22:21 that if you align yourself with God and are in harmony with that relationship that you will receive good things in this world.
God has a unique purpose for each and every one of us. Sometimes life gets so busy that we forget what our purpose is in life, but God has a way of guiding
“You are your only border - throw yourself over it!” - Hafis ,persian poet. If you only get one shot at being a person, why not be you? Being yourself is better than being anyone else, always be you!
First, participating members of the church have the same purpose in life. This purpose is to live in such a way that they can return and live with Heavenly Father in the next life. To do this a person must obey the commandments and repent of sin, constantly strive for perfection, help and serve others, proclaim the gospel, and attend the
Once one determines their purpose, one may achieve fulfilment through living a righteous life. Specifically, by determining ways to benefit and contributing society. Socrates touches on how righteous attributes are beneficial to not only to yourself but to the community as well. “Wealth does not bring about excellence, but excellence makes wealth and everything else good for men, both individually and collectively.” (Plato, n.d.). One may live a fulfilling life through mission work and focusing on the needs of the people around them.
Isaiah 43:21 reveals God’s purpose in creating us; to give Him praise through worship. As a leader/minister, preaching the gospel, teaching, providing an environment conducive to growth and flourishing, reproducing the character of Christ, and leading others to worship and delight of God is my real responsibility. Matthew 28:19-20 says, “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the ages.”
I believe we exist for one purpose. That purpose is to worship and reflect our Heavenly Father. He has given His instructions to us in the Bible. The Bible tells of how we are to administer the church, how we are to worship in the church and who is to have roles in the church.
Our purpose in life is to serve God. Jesus gave us the Great Commission at the end of Matthew, Mark, and Luke. Matthew 28: 16-20 18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
To become a success in life, we all need to learn to become a good student in every aspect of life. Becoming a good student takes much work and self-discipline. There are many ways that a student can stand out from the rest of the class. These good students are distinguished by their attitude, intellectual skills, consciousness, and achievement.
